Great to see the next iteration of the Rocketbook. Nice work guys. For those of you wondering, the previous Rocketbook went into the microwave to be erased. With this one you can use a damp paper towel to wipe the page clean... and can get more uses out of it.
I am very excited for this next generation of Rocketbook. I currently utilize 2 executive Rocketbook Wave notebooks as well as to Standard Wave notebooks. I can't wait to receive another quality product Rocketbook. Grear job, Mr. Lemay and staff :)
I am a huge fan of Letterforms whiteboard notebooks. The paper is far superior to others I've seen on amazon. But this looks extremely compelling. I placed an order for 2 right away. Eager to try it out.
Great work! I loved the concept of the first version, but I didn't want to have to ask my mom to use her microwave every time I want to erase my notebook π (no microwave at home, sadly)
I was wondering, what are the requirements for ink being able to erase? I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to pens and only like to use those that feel just right in my hand.
@louis_sugar the only ones we really tested thoroughly and can guarantee work at this point are Pilot FriXion pens. Any from their FriXion line - ball, clicker, and markers - will work great.
@louis_sugar also soon we'll be releasing a single use Rocketbook called the Rocketbook One. It will have a lower price point, works with our app. It's not reusable but works with any pen/pencil.
Don't mistake me, I'm just confused how this is a great product.? Since I haven't used rocket book V1, I don't know what's so special in it?
1.) I personally feel it's better, economical to buy a regular notebook for $2/3 and take your notes on it. Then use the cam scanner apps to scan the pages. This way you will have a permanent hard copy of the content and also a softcopy (digital) on your app which is connected to the cloud. Simple ...right???
2.) If you are caring about the planet and wanted to save the trees by using less paper, then simply write your content in the tablet directly. If you are using rocketbook, you wouldn't be able to see the hard copy anyway, you'll erase it..:P LOL.
--------------------------------------------------
If it had the special smart pen which stored all the contents you write automatically on the cloud, then it would have been great (yeah those products are already there on the market). If you don't own a tablet at home, then this would be a cheaper buying option. Still, I see this as a normal product which works on the basis of simple children's whiteboard, where you can write, draw and erase. So I don't know whether I missed something, but it looks very normal to me.
Sometimes, it's better not to complicate simple things..:P
I'll be happy to hear, why this is a unique product to have in the home, than the traditional cheap notebooks.
@ramkumarhq The V 1 became blank after placing it in the Microwave for around 4 minutes (Super cool). The other upside is the ability to designate where a page is stored. Each page has it's own icon that you cross out and via the app you can define where you want the pages with that selected icon to be stored.
I think the general thing as well is that people like to write things down, sketch and doodle still so making this something you can digitise and store easily and on top of that re-use over an over. What's not to like :-)
Each to their own obviously :-)
