Wish this was available in the USA...

I just bought a dash cam and didn't even think about this. I've needed the cam 2 times in the last year for good evidence. In a way, it would REALLY help me out to stay focused on driving if my phone were used as a different tool. Then again, when i need map directions, that might be an issue. Would it be possible to record in the background while running other apps (like navigation?)

I don't think the police would like to see a dash cam in every vehicle. lol I love the idea though:-)
