Hi! The idea seems very nice. From what I saw at your landing page, you offer email scripts to help with negotiation. Do you also have some solution for in-person negotations happening real-time?
Stephanie Young
@doomhammer To handle in-person negotiations we have two options: 1) Educational materials which are at www.rivanegotiations.com/guides or 2) Coaching ahead of time which you can get to from the dashboard of the app. We'd love to be able to help real-time but obviously struggle with "how." Is it phone scripts? A chatbot? People transcribe the phone conversations to us? Drop me a note at: stephanie@rivanegotiations.com if you have thoughts!

Unfortunately I have no good suggestions here, I was merely curious if there is something you have considered or tried.

@doomhammer Makes sense! Thanks for the question.

Hello Product Hunt Family! πŸ’œ We're really excited to be launching Riva - the world's first-ever automated job-offer negotiations engine. We built this with the help of the most amazing cofounding team from Harvard Business School - David Lax, Hannah Bowles, Paul Levy, James Sebenius and William Ury. Our story started many years ago when I went to my first job out of college at Google. I was scared but with my Dad's encouragement went to negotiate my job offer. My recruiter was so incredibly kind but I was still so intimidated by the process that I walked away with nothing. I found out later other folks had successfully negotiated and walked away with tens of thousands of dollars more. This is a story that I share with many of you. Since then, we've heard stories of people trying to negotiate as the only black female software engineer, heard stories about people trying to convert from contract to full time, stories about being ghosted by recruiters, stories about some of the kindest most amazing recruiters, and stories about job searching during COVID. We hope this adds a little bit of joy and value and more importantly advocates for equality and fairness. We're excited to share this with you and also learn from you! Please comment below with your negotiation stories, how you've advocated for yourself, or how you've helped others put their best foot forward. This is a journey we're all in together! πŸ’œ Best, Stephanie Young
