Hi everyone! I’m Gem, reppin’ the XR studio PHORIA today! We’re a super passionate group of humans into immersive tech, based in Melbourne, Australia. ☀️ Our studio is all about extending experiences and creating lasting impact with AR/VR/MR. You may already know about our experience, REWILD. It’s all about reversing environmental loss and bringing people closer to nature. Thanks to Netflix, it includes content from the series Our Planet, narrated by Sir David Attenborough. *Cue swoon* We first created REWILD as an installation that could tour museums around the world. It ended up in places like Singapore, Bristol and New York, and even won a Webby Award. Crazy, we know. But 2020 obviously changed a lot of our plans. We didn’t want anyone to miss out on the REWILD experience. So we put our heads together with some friends at OnePlus, Google & Netflix to come up with a solution. Which brings me to the reason I’m talking to you today Product Hunt! REWILD is now a free app you can play at home on iOS & Android. Like its predecessor, the app takes you on a journey to "rewild" Earth’s most precious biomes, using immersive AR to educate and entertain. How can you play? It’s easy, just make sure your device is AR-friendly 😉 ⚙️ Scan your playspace and align your virtual screen. 🐒 Choose one of the earth’s biomes to unlock 2D and AR content. 👣 Move around to REWILD! Interact with your playspace in AR to rewild! 🌏 Speak up for nature and leave a pledge that persists over time in your saved playspace. Couple tips! ✨ • Playspace should be a minimum of 1.5 metres (outside is really nice!) • Make sure you have good lighting, and that there’s nothing to trip over. • If your device storage is looking full, it's best to clear some space.
