@connie219, some call recorders have a pre-configured announcement to alert everyone on the call that they're being recorded. does this product do that? and if so, what does the message say? looks awesome!

@connie219 @nateembrey Yes we do! There is a beep that is configurable in the app settings that alerts both parties that the call is being recorded. Call Recordings Laws vary by state, so please check the settings page to learn more.

Love this app! It's my favorite recorder!

Pros:

Easy to call my interviewees on my cell; before I had to use Skype Call Recorder & this is SO much easier!

Cons:

Once the call did not record. But this is 1x out of 40 interviews I've conducted

@connie219 I don't seem to be able to find it in the Irish app store? Though I can see Rev Voice Recorder and Temi. Guessing that the transcription is part of your paid service from Rev? And plans for Android? Can we also download the recording too or is this just a way to get our audio to you? And any editing features in the app? Thanks

@krishnade Thanks for the great questions! Correct, the transcription is a paid service provided by Rev. The app is currently only available in the U.S. iOS app store. We do hope to release international and Android versions in the future, but the timeline has yet to be determined. Absolutely, you can not just record, but also download / share the recording. As for editing features, there's currently a transcript editor within the app. We're also working on an audio trimmer that should be ready in the next release.

@jonasalmut as a customer I can confirm I had to make very few edits. I’ve used their audio transcriptions to dictate marketing materials for our firm and their video captioning services with clients and we’ve all been extremely happy with the results. It even catches my uhms and heys accurately which helped me figured out a lot of my quirks in how I talk.

Thanks Kevin for the hunt! Hey everyone! Connie here. We’re part of Rev.com, an audio-to-text transcription company. We created the Rev Call Recorder because we noticed a lot of our customers were using all kinds of workarounds to get us recorded calls for transcription, so we wanted to create an easy, free way to record phone interviews and meetings on the iPhone. My team and I have been working on the app for the past couple of months and are so excited to share it with the Product Hunt community. I haven’t used the new app but I have used their regular transcription and closed captioning services from my videos and audio files. The quality is top knotch. If I ever have a need to record a call for any purpose I’ll definitely be using the app
