Reporter was one of the first products submitted on Product Hunt before it's launch. The Verge has some good coverage of its release today: http://www.theverge.com/2014/2/6...
Love the concept. The UX could be a bit clearer. For example, the home screen seems confusing on first blush - the Report CTA feels too deprecated and it would be nice to see more explicit context around the summary data that's presented (esp. for the first/initial experiences).
In case anyone else was confused: I had a hard time figuring out how to answer the "how did you sleep?" default question. You need to go into settings and edit that question to add possible responses.
Otherwise, really delightful so far.
I can't work out whether I can set the time of the surveys or I have to answer them randomly... anyway, I'll give this a go. I especially like the idea of tracking who I spend time with. I'd love to integrate something like this into Exist, so I can see how spending time with different people affects my mood, sleep and activity levels.
@andrewjbryk I've been using this for a while now and one of my favourites is "What are you thinking about right now?" - because of course I might be working but thinking about something else! Also tracking hobbies/habits with questions like "Did you play piano today?" that are triggered when I set sleep mode.
I'm planning to use this app to track the way my behavior is priming my decisions. I didn't know I needed it, but as soon as I tried it out, I realized it can help me go beyond just visualizing my thoughts & mood... So now I can prime my own mood, so I feel more grateful, positive and energetic. Just by asking a question, and anticipating what the ideal answer would be I gently remind myself I need to try to get to the point where coming up with my desired answer is a easy as breathing.
