Hello Product Hunt! šŸ˜» We originally launched on Product Hunt ~7 months ago and got some amazing feedback from this community. Thank you! Since that time, weā€™ve been hard at work rebuilding the product (with professional designers this time!) and canā€™t wait to share the updates. Quick reminder on Repixel: Repixel is a marketplace that lets advertisers retarget (send ads to) the visitors of *someone elseā€™s* website. For example, if you sell wine, you might have success retargeting a blog that ranks the best wine subscription clubs. After all, everyone on that website isnā€™t just interested in wine, but theyā€™re almost certainly on the verge of making a purchase šŸ„‚ Technically, Facebook makes this incredibly easy for advertisers through their ā€œshare pixelā€ button. But finding partnerā€™s in your niche that 1) share your customer base, 2) are non-competitive, and 3) actually wants to work with you, can be very difficult! Through Repixel, publishers can post a listing indicating that theyā€™re willing to work with advertisers for a set fee, and advertisers can see a ā€œmenuā€ of potential partners all in one place. Once the connection is made, website owners get a new revenue stream without having to litter their website with spammy ads and advertisers get a new audience to serve relevant ads to šŸš€ In this update, youā€™ll find a completely redesigned app packed with usability improvements, an improved onboarding experience, more transparency to better understand who youā€™re working with, a revamped pricing model where advertisers can license entire pixels rather than paying for each pageview, and 7X the number of websites to pick from. @gaurav_subham, great question! - The big feature for site owners is theyā€™re able to let advertisers reach their website visitors without littering their website with more display ads. Because Repixel works in the background instead of having a set amount of inventory, the scale is infinite using this method. - For advertisers, they have a new ability to retarget (send ads to) *someone elseā€™s* website. For example, a company that sells hiking shoes could send an ad to someone immediately after they leave a hiking blog. Hope thatā€™s helpful! In terms of downsides, there's no immediate gratification as you have to wait for your partner to approve you and then collect performance data from the test, but hopefully the bump in performance ends up being worth the wait :). What are the privacy implications of this? Is this in line with Facebook's custom audiences policies? Also gotta love the irony of deletemydata.io selling access to their pixel data!

@mack_grenfell thanks for the comment and your interest in Repixel! I know that's a hot topic, and thank you for bringing it up. Similar to traditional retargeting, users will have the option to opt-out of tracking by not granting permission to website owners to track them, or they can also block this behavior in their settings. It's our belief that data and the use of cookies has pros (such as personalization, and in our case, showing people more relevant ads), and cons (such when it makes people feel uncomfortable or becomes invasive). Our feeling is the best solution to this debate is to give people the option in regards to what data is collected and what isnā€™t. Some people will decide to take a bit more personalization, and others will decide to take a bit more privacy. Both are valid decisions that we fully support. Just our $0.02, hope that's helpful, and thanks again for the comment!

@jasonfesta1 thanks for your interest, Jason! Grabbing might not be quite the right word, maybe renting. If both sides have opted in, the owner of the website will use Facebook's "share pixel" button to allow the advertiser to have access in exchange for a monthly fee.

Repixel is a way to supercharge your retargeting. Even if you're used to send ads to your website visitors, doing it to specific related websites/blogs and even possible competitors (in a few years probably) is a no-brainer for any digital marketers. The cool thing is also the pricing model; If you have a blog, that's a nice & legit way to make more money. And if you're a business, you can easily select potential pixels based on relevant data and monthly subscription fees. The only thing I might be skeptic about is the fact that we are drifting in a world where data is a personal right and where it should be less and less shared between businesses. Otherwise, great product & good job to the team šŸ‘

Repixel and ad networks make opting out of data collection very easy under GDPR & CCPA. Some people will decide to take a bit more personalization, and others will decide to take a bit more privacy.
