We hear you on the searchable countries - we're trying to balance the ability to choose exact countries with simplicity but we still have a way to go.
Can I ask - are you viewing on mobile or desktop? And if we added more roles, what type of jobs would you like to see?

As a remote engineer myself, I really like how well the data is structured and how easy it is to find appropriate working timezones. That’s a hassle most of the time. UI is amazing and I’m happy to see more and more products being build with tailwind. Accessibility is great and the UX is close to perfect. Having worked with Duncan before, I know the passion and attention to detail that will ho into this product. Great job, my friend

Before you run screaming at the thought of another remote job board, ask yourself:
"what do existing remote job boards do that's specific to remote?"
Existing solutions don't cater for the things that make remote work - trust, async collaboration, team culture, and remote specific support.

Existing pricing models for traditional remote job boards are unrealistic. Posting a job often starts at several hundred $ and then quickly ramps up with 'extras' like paying just to show your company logo.
Not only do we think this is unfair, it creates a dark pattern where companies can pay extra for a 'featured' ad, which is coupled with a poor search experience for job seekers. This incentivizes poor UX in order to charge more to job posters.

No matter which option you choose, all posts receive all features and are displayed equally. We have some localised currencies as well (£ and EUR) and will be adding more very soon!
@pollock Thanks Tristan - I spent a long time looking at how e-commerce sites handle filters and facets to get inspiration and I'm pleased with the results. Over time with more roles added it'll be interesting to see the different facets that emerge - and happy to take any suggestions!
@_duncanhall Congratulations on the launch! Really like the clean UI of the website. In terms of usability, I would love to see some more filterable categories, especially non-tech categories. It would also be great to have some resources for the new visitors, for example some material on how to approach the job opening, how to apply, etc. I understand that this is just the beginning but these suggestions can be put in the back-log for future reference 😅

A really big ambition for Remotely is to enable remote work for everyone - not just those of us in tech related roles. We've focussed early on with tech and related roles to get quick feedback on the basics but we are keen to branch out and support remote work in areas where it's currently less available.
Part of that challenge is helping companies themselves approach remote work, so resources on how to do so is a great idea - for both job hunters and posters! We definitely hear you on better category filters as well - we're striving to keep the interface as clean and simple as possible so this will be our next fun UX challenge!
@_duncanhall So true. There is a need to work on both ends of the spectrum. We are in the transition zone but the future is remote, I have no doubt about that! Love your energy. Wishing you all the success :)

When adding a role we ask job posters to list the countries they can support working from, and to give a time range for when their team tends to collaborate. We encourage this not to be considered as "working hours" but an indication of when people are available online together.
Here's the clever bit: We capture the job posters timezone and automatically convert times to the local time zone of anyone searching or viewing jobs. This way everyone can see when teams collaborate without having to do the mental math of "of it's 1pm but +7, is that my time or there's". All times shown are always your time!

The 1 week option is aimed at teams who either want to try Remotely without a big commitment, or perhaps have campaigns running elsewhere and want a beautiful, remote specific landing page to show how they are committed to remote teams.
It's hard to give impression numbers as we are still very new and growing rapidly, but I can say that we get very good engagement on each post - around 2 mins - and several of our early adopters received applications within hours of posting on Remotely!

Education is actually one of the areas we're looking at after tech roles - we already receive visitors looking for remote teaching roles and we'd love to help make remote education available to more people!
Gaddang this is smart. A jobs platform built around the new normal of working remotely. Other job platforms just sort of slap the "remote working" option on as an afterthought.
@notmatthewstafford Thanks Matthew - that's the exact vibe we started with! Remote jobs have different needs and while there are a bunch of successful remote boards out there, they don't really consider what remote work needs.
