Throughout the last five years of running more than 70 different Remote Year programs, we’ve learned a lot about what it takes to go remote, how to make the lifestyle sustainable, how to build community and the personal and professional growth that comes from leaving your comfort zone. We’ve witnessed the authentic collaboration that comes from being surrounded by a diverse community and life shifts that materialize from finding inspiration in different places and connecting with people around the world. With Destinations, we are excited to share this experience with a new group of people who cannot join our 4, 6 or 12 month long Itinerary Programs. Destinations include all of the same inclusions and experiences as our itinerary programs: Private bedroom accommodation 24/7 access to a workspace Transportation upon arrival in your new Destination Curated and unique local adventures Community Initiatives to get to know the people traveling alongside you Support from local city teams and other traveling staff members We've selected our top rated countries and scheduled Destinations in the best season to visit. Our first Destinations in 2020 will go to: Colombia, Croatia, Japan and South Africa. We are exploring new ways we can use the Destinations platform to connect communities around a purpose and introduce some themed programs into our product mix. A few that have been requested by our community so far are: Creatives, Digital Nomad Families, Entrepreneurs, Positive Impact, personalized programs for companies, and many more! So stoked for this. I traveled on a 12-month RY program in 2018/19 and have since gone fully remote. Needless to say I'll be hopping on the Destinations train here. And by "here" I mean Croatia. :)

I traveled with Remote Year in 2017 on a 12-month itinerary and have participated in over a dozen alumni events since. RY and the community that supports it is a hugely advantageous network of like-minded travelers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, full-time employees, and most importantly; family. RY didn't just change my life, it's given my life new purpose as I continue to travel the world on my own post-RY. If you've ever wanted to try out being a digital nomad but couldn't commit to the longer itineraries, this is a great way to give it a shot in a fully supported environment.

This is incredible! Destinations will be a great option for those who are unable to commit to longer periods of time away from home. Really looking forward to this!

It is so exciting to be alongside our first Destinations program launching on the ground currently and watching as this group experiences the best of Remote Year in one month! Meeting all of these participants reminds me of why we launched this product in the first place -- so that more people could experience working, traveling, and growing personally and professionally alongside an incredible community. It's one month, but we hope it becomes the first month of many to come!

This seems like a great program for people who can’t leave for a whole year! Some theme ideas for the destinations are yoga, volunteering, citizen science, and sports.

Love the flexibility that Remote Year is offering to cater to everyone! those who wants to go work/travel for a entire year and now 1 month at a time!! Looking forward to this!

I’m currently traveling with the first Destinations and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Being unable to commit to the longer months, the one month was perfect for me and what I’ve been waiting for !! I’m positive I’ll be jumping on more one month trips in the future. 🥳

Having completed a full 12-month Remote Year (plus several months as a citizen), the seamlessness with which RY shows you how easy it can be to work remotely full-time inspired me to move from the US to Lisbon (one of the cities we lived in for a month) where I ended up buying a home and meeting the love of my life. To boot, the RY community is made up of spectacular people, and I’ve made dozens of friends for life all over the world. Couldn’t recommend more!!!!
