Anything Waikit builds is bound to be πŸ”₯. Got to see an early version of this over the summer and was blown away by the speed of this. Go try it and see for yourself.
Waikit Lau
@anujadhiya Thanks! Very flattered but the credit really goes to my teammates

We use a ton of these things... Hangouts, Zoom, Slack, Skype (!). What's different about RemoteHQ?
Waikit Lau
@trevorstricker We think video chat/conf will continue to commoditize. Zoom has the best tech now but open standards like AV1 will catch up fast. We think there are lots of opportunities to solve the actual "working together" part beyond being able to see/hear each other. If you think about the most often used "working together" tech, it's screen share, a 30-year old tech. We are disrupting that with our Shared Browser and other upcoming apps, where users can not only view but can co-edit together seamlessly.

Great domain name

@dotcommonster Thanks Daniel! We got lucky.

We built RemoteHQ to help distributed teams actually get work done together. There are numerous tools out there that try to address this problem, however, we believe they fall short in many ways. We wanted a platform that that enabled remote teams to collaborate as if they were co-located in the same physical space. Furthermore, we wanted to provide this experience in an intuitive manner all running in your browser; No installation required! Our mission is to re-imagine how teams work by providing a virtual workspace that is flexible, intuitive, and secure. Use RemoteHQ to host team meetings, sales demos, support calls, training sessions, and more. You can quickly mix and match apps in each session, based on your use case. RemoteHQ is giving 3 months worth of free usage to 300 Product Hunt users (first come, first served) who sign up and upgrade with the coupon code 8uzHei77. To redeem, sign up and then go to https://rooms.remotehq.com/setti.... Chose the subscription plan of your choice (you should choose Pro). From there, you can enter the above code when upgrading your subscription. The code is only valid for the next 5 days, until 31st Oct 11:59pm EDT. Finally, big kudos to the team for all they have done with this product. We are a fully remote team, spread around the world and we eat our own dog food.

@owenfar1 We'll be adding this shortly (we just launched). Drop us an email at team@remotehq.com if you like your email deleted and we'll wipe it. Thanks!

Owen I dont' understand your comment, using the shared browser is optional and you can share your desktop. I think having both options is superior to just having 1 option.
Yash Ambardekar
Awesome product, Waikit! I remember grabbing coffee with you you awhile back, with my cofounder Phil Strazzulla at Trident bookstore on Newbury when you were thinking about what company would come next for you. Congrats on this product launch--looks really good.
Waikit Lau
@ambyash Yash, indeed! That was a couple of years ago. Hope you been well. Thanks for your support here!

Huge congrats to the whole RemoteHQ team, we've been using it for a couple months now (almost half our team is either remote of traveling multiple weeks each month) and it's awesome to see the user experience keep getting better and better. The collaboration both visually and tactically with shared browser has been a big hit on the team.
Waikit Lau
@danslagen Thanks Dan. Truly appreciate all the early feedback from you and your team!
Jennifer Neves
Really loving RemoteHQ! It fills in so many gaps that exist for remote teams today. Highly recommend!
Waikit Lau
@jen_hr_neves Thanks Jen!

?makers do you also allow recoding of sessions? And also breakout rooms? Super keen on exploring this for live classes and deep integration with our platform
Coach Wei
Wow, this is awesome. Totally the next generation of online collaboration beyond ZOOM/Webex/GoTomeeting. Love the co-browsing feature, upload/view/edit documents together, whiteboard...and most importantly, session logs!
Waikit Lau
@coachwei Thanks Coach! Appreciate the support
Mia Nguyen
@coachwei Great to hear this feedback Coach! Would it be alright for me to share a piece of it on our socials as a testimonial?
Vinayak Ranade
Happy user and fan!
Waikit Lau
@pseudovirtual Thanks Vinayak!
Arte
Congrats! It's a pretty cool interface - especially the split screen and sharing.
Max Faingezicht
Love RemoteHQ for its simplicity and speed. Collaborating with people across locations is always tricky, having it all in the browser and being able to hop on a screen share with our remote engineers quickly is key for us. It's awesome to see how far the product has evolved!
Jonathan Zinger
Looks interesting and frictionless. Excited to try this out with our distributed team!
Waikit Lau
@__zinger__ Really appreciate trying it out. Love any feedback or feature requests. We can accommodate and move fast :)
Victor de Chabaneix
Awesome. We're gonna give this a shot at comet.co :)
Waikit Lau
@dcbxdcb Victor, appreciate you giving us a try. Please feel free to reach out directly to us at team@remotehq.com if you have any questions or feature requests.

Yen Pei Tay
Super awesome team communication tool that works seamlessly with Chrome. My team has been actively using RemoteHQ for our weekly team meetings!
Waikit Lau
@yenpei Thank you! Keep the feedback coming!
Mia Nguyen
@yenpei - Following up here, I'd love to hear from you Yen if your team is still leveraging RemoteHQ! We have some new features that are great for team stand-ups.
Trevor Sookraj
Our entire team works remotely, and this is a must-have. The collaboration features (whiteboard, notes, shared browser) give the feel that you're in the same room. Also automatically adjusts video quality so there's no lag β€” big step up from Zoom and Hangouts!
Waikit Lau
@trevorsookraj Thanks Trevor!

RemoteHQ has put all the different ways people collaborate in real-time into one platform. It makes it easy for distributed teams to work together, as if they are in the same location. Their Shared Browser app is quite a unique feature. You can co-browse and navigate any website or web app with your team. It's totally worth checking out. Much faster than screen sharing!
Mia Nguyen
@hnshah I love the language you used to describe RemoteHQ's superpower! Do you mind if we share this as a testimonial on our socials? I know this comment was written awhile ago so if you have more current feedback I'd be happy to hear that as well :)
