Hi PH! I’m Nikhil, founder of Reflex (https://reflex.dev) We released our open-source framework (https://github.com/reflex-dev/re...) with a goal to simplify web development. Anyone who knows Python should be able to turn their ideas into web apps without Javascript. Today thousands of teams use Reflex for their data/AI apps, internal tools, and customer-facing web apps. Now we're launching Reflex Cloud, a platform for deploying and managing Reflex apps. With Reflex Cloud we're extending that same simplicity to hosting. Just `reflex deploy`, and in a few minutes your app will be live to share with the world. Our free tier lets you deploy your first app at no cost. Once you deploy, you can log in to your app dashboard to see the status of your apps, the resources they're using, and application logs all in one place. We also have Pro, Team, and Enterprise tiers to take your app from prototype to production. Reflex Pro lets you take your app from a prototype to a production app with: - Custom Domains: Use your own domain for your app - Larger Apps: Increased memory and CPU options, and deploy to multiple regions - Add Collaborators: Add team members to your project We're previewing team and enterprise plans with advanced features like: - One-Click Auth: Add Github, Google, or other OAuth providers to your app with no code - Full Analytics: Comprehensive insight into your app's performance and usage - On Premise Hosting: Run Reflex Cloud on your own infrastructure With our open source framework and our cloud hosting, we're providing a unified platform to turn your ideas into deployed apps that you can share with your company, or the world! Goals of Reflex: 1. 🐍 Pure Python: Use one language for your web app. 2. 💡 Easy to get started: Build your ideas easily without needing web development experience. 3. ⚡ Full flexibility: Web apps should match the customizability and performance of traditional web frameworks. 4. 🔋 Batteries included: Handle the full-stack from the frontend, to the backend, to deployment. Deploy with a single `reflex deploy` command. 5. 🥞 Empower Your Team: Instead of having separate dedicated engineers for frontend, backend, and infra, every engineer can now understand and work across the whole stack. If your team uses Python, I'd love to learn more about your experience building data and web apps!

@picklelo Love the concept, Nikhil! Quick question: Can AI models generate Reflex apps (frontend + backend) efficiently? I’m a big fan of react and shadcn UI because claude 3.5 handle them so well. If claude is as knowledgeable in reflex as it is in shadcn then why not we just max out Python for everything!
Alek Petuskey
@picklelo @tonyabracadabra Yes Claude is fairly good are reflex our search on our website has an ai feature which can also answer questions and provide code snippets about reflex
Nikhil Rao
@tonyabracadabra Hey Tony! More recent AI models have been trained on Reflex, and tools like Cursor are able to index the Reflex docs to generate code. But we're also building AI features into Reflex itself. You can see an experimental version here: https://flexgen.reflex.run We're focusing a lot more of our efforts in the upcoming months on building out AI agents that can generate Reflex apps - so you can build apps quickly while staying in Python, making it easier to integrate with your existing code.

@picklelo So cool! The ability for non-developers to contribute to app creation is a significant step forward in fostering collaboration between teams. Quite impressive :)

Congrats on the launch, @tom_gotsman @picklelo @alekpetuskey @masenf @simonmyoung Startup Pitch Decks Do you offer auto-scaling as part of the Pro plan?
Nikhil Rao
@ashitvora Currently you have to manually scale your apps - but we have autoscaling in our roadmap and will offer that soon!
Elijah Ahianyo
you should be able to choose machine/vm types on any deploy/re-deploy. As for auto scaling, this is something the team would look into.

Congrats on launching Reflex Cloud, Nikhil! 🎉 Simplifying web development with Python and now extending that simplicity to hosting is a huge win for developers. The one-command deployment (reflex deploy) and comprehensive app dashboard make managing web apps so much more accessible. Love the focus on scaling with Pro, Team, and Enterprise tiers—features like custom domains, OAuth, and on-prem hosting are perfect for teams taking apps from prototype to production. Reflex is clearly empowering Python developers to create full-stack web apps with ease. Excited to see how teams use this to build and share their ideas! 🚀🐍👏

congrats, guys! while requesting a demo, there is no option to choose Product Hunt as a place where I discovered the product 🧐

@kate_ramakaieva Thanks for the support - we will update the form!

Web apps in pure Python, let's go🚀
Alex Dulub
Hi Nikhil! Reflex Cloud sounds like a fantastic solution for streamlining the web app deployment process. The ease of using pure Python and deploying with just one command is impressive. How has the feedback been from teams using Reflex for their internal tools and customer-facing apps?
Alek Petuskey
@web3_antivirus You check out our discord nd see some of the feedback there if that's helpful. Overall its been pretty positive
Alexander Danilowicz
incredible product, incredible team. Hosting is huge. Congrats!!

Finally, a Vercel alternative.

Launching soon!
Congrats on the impressive launch! How does Reflex handle real-time data updates and WebSocket-based features for apps that require live updates? Are there built-in components or integrations planned for seamless real-time functionality?
Sohrab Fadai
Cool work guys! Congrats on this launch. Saw you a while back and impressed by the rate you are taking this forward. This is an really interesting take on things and opens up for a lot of innovation and nicer looking apps. Even though I am a Typescript guy myself I see why so many enjoy working with Python and I think you are doing a great thing for the builder-community and also opening up doors for more people to join it. So kudos to that! Lots of cool new solutions will be built thanks to this. That is great for everyone.

I recommend this app because it makes it easy to create web applications in pure Python, without the need to use JavaScript. Its ease of deployment with a single command and the availability of a dashboard for monitoring applications make it a convenient tool for developers.
Ioannis Tsiokos
So, Python Vercel?
Nikhil Rao
@ioannis_tsiokos Our public cloud is very similar to Vercel for Python. But we're also focusing more on internal company apps rather than frontend-facing landing and website pages, so the use case is a bit different.

Very useful product for developers
omar soufiane
I'm a JavaScript developpe but I would definitely recommend reflex cloud to my Pythonista friends
Velalagan M
This would save a lot of time for development, great tool! congratulations on the launch
Nazarii Tekhta
How do you make debugging easier when something goes wrong across both frontend and backend layers? Since it's all in Python now, I'm curious about the developer experience.
Elijah Ahianyo
@nazar_tekhta The hosting UI comes with logs of your app(both frontend and backend) so you should be able to tell if anything's wrong. You can also do this in the provided CLI as well. You can find all about the CLI here https://reflex.dev/docs/hosting/...
Adell Hanson-Kahn
We built app.perfwriter.com completely with Reflex (migrated from Flask) and it's been really great. I recommend it to anyone building modern web apps with python!
Alek Petuskey
@adellh Thanks Adell glad you have liked it!
Ahmed Elkurdi
Is reflex production ready ?
Achille Cavinato
This can give superpowers to webapp that require a strong backend with complex analytics, ML/AI, or fast asynchronous activities - and with one-click deploy it can be magic 🔥 Congratulation for the launch guys and thanks for this nice product!
Paul Plessing
Go reflex! We've been using reflex since early 2024, and now we got both B2B and B2C reflex apps in production. Can't say how happy I am that I don't have to switch between python and javascript on a daily basis, and can simply stay on python for my whole tech stack 🙏🏼 Until today we always self hosted our apps, and will keep doing that in the near future for clients with sensitive data. But can't wait to speed up our deployment setup 10x with reflex cloud 💙
Alek Petuskey
@paul_from_dentro Thanks Paul!
