We love Redash at BubbleIQ! We use it for all our core product metrics to keep the whole team aligned.

Pros:

Easy to build really useful, awesome dashboards!

Cons:

The query syntax for Mongo is a bit confusing at first

Oren Barzilai
Happy to upvote and support Redash! used it for few different projects. An easy choice for data visualization solution.

Hi ProductHunt πŸ‘‹ I'm so excited to have Redash on ProductHunt! We worked really hard on the last release (V4) and happy to share it with the world. I created Redash almost 5 years ago as an open source project and 2.5 years ago started the company (and launched the SaaS product) to make sure Redash will have a future independent of any corporate sponsor. Today Redash is still an active open source project and a sustainable bootstrapped business. It is used by over 4,500 teams around the world -- from the small shops to big organizations (Atlassian, Mozilla, Amazon and many others). We would love to hear your feedback (good or bad) and interesting usage stories. :)

@arikfr Not a feedback but a quick tip if you are looking at B2B sales : 1. Target companies who have recently raised funding. 2. Target companies who are hiring for analytics/product managers. Such companies will be right fit for you.
Arik Fraimovich
@shreyaa_ratra Thanks! Will keep this in mind.

@arikfr Congrats on the new release !! How do you compare with Chart.io ? We've been chartio users for a while but I'm wondering in what way Redash would be better. I see you guys are cheaper and that's a good starting point :D Anything else I should know ?
VISIBLE
@arikfr @fiessedouard We use Chart.io but in a very limited way. We are able to integrate it well into our query results, however, we believe Redash will enable us to build and display a more comprehensive set of visuals and build these into a dashboard. The only issue being how we integrate the dashboard into our application.

Love it! Have used it with my company and my clients. Such a great tool.

We've been relying on Redash for the past 10+ months for our analytics and reporting needs. It allows us to quickly query our databases and get up-to-date dashboards/tables and charts from which we draw helpful insights. Alerts are also something super helpful we've just started using.

Pros:

Simple to use, great dashboarding and visualization capabilities, fair pricing for small and nimble startups.

Cons:

Still requires investing some time for non-technical people to learn how to write queries

Redash is the basis for many important business analytics operations in my 15yo business.

Pros:

Easy enough to set up and self-host, very solid SQL and graphing facilities.

Cons:

I've occasionally been surprised by the things it can do that I didn't know it could do. Should be more expensive!

I worked with Redash in the past in an environment that needed a lot of insights from the database and it served it's purpose amazingly well. While working at trip.com, we setup redash so that marketing, the CEO and engineers can get insights from the DB. As you can imagine, insights those groups/people need are very different and Redash really served that purpose well. It was very simple to setup and very easy to use, you can set it up inside of your Amazon VPC and respect network security rules. Arik, the maker and founder is always responsive in the support group and always willing to help.

Love Redash! Have been using it in the last several companies I've been a part of. Big ups to Arik and the rest of the community for making such a powerful tool. Best part? It's open source so as long as you can configure it yourself, you only pay for the hosting cost. Great for startups with limited budgets who need to make data more accessible and part of the culture early on.
Arik Fraimovich
@philipljohnson there is nothing better than seeing people bring Redash to their next company. This is the best signal for us that we're doing something right: people who explicitly choose Redash again πŸ‘Œ And it's true that being open source makes it very affordable for everyone, but we also try to make the SaaS offering affordable just the same (starting at $49/mo). Happy querying πŸ€“

Hey @arikfr, Can you tell us more about what you've built here? What makes it stand out from other similar products?
Arik Fraimovich
@jacqvon sure! Posted as a top level comment :)

My team's gonna LOVE this. Great work, @arikfr!

Redash is absolutely fantastic. We've been using it for 1.5 years and it consistently solves problems, creates value across our teams, and is a joy to use.
Pawel Swiatek
Really useful product - we do a lot of our user analytics on it. As mentioned by others, writing Mongo queries is not trivial, and writing them with *everything* in quotes just makes it that much more annoying to parse out and debug. Once they're up and running though, the tool is really great.
Jamie Crabb

Best just good enough tool for ad hoc queries!

Pros:

Easy for anyone in our org to plug into

Cons:

I always forget to publish my query before I rerun it

JΓ©rΓ©my Ouanounou
You need to add a Sample File for test Usage. That would help users decide :)

We use Redash to share data with our team as well as clients. It helps me check all my business KPIs and even modify them whenever needed.

Our only problem is that it has to be updated manually everytime we have to generate a fresh report.

Otherwise, it's a must-have product for every company, whether you are early stage or Series G+ funded or an enterprise

Pros:

Very simple to use, great chart and viz options, doesnt crash like other dashboarding tools

Cons:

1. Dashboards cant be grouped together,

2. No way to email daily / weekly reports to clients or team members

Ran Mussman
It already saved me multiple times. Highly recommended.
Sachin Kulkarni
@arikfr - I have not used the product. But, going through the content on the blog and the website, I feel that you have really solved basic data and BI problems for your customers. I have built and scaled data products, and know what are the pains and needs of the customers 1) Data integrations 2) Querying interface 3) Visualization. Redash seems to solve all the customer problems. For any startup, Redash is a perfect platform! I recommend you to partner with Startup Accelerators and Combinators across the world. This will help thousands of startups to make data-driven decisions from month-1 of their business. Great going!
Alexander Leibzon

Using redash in several companies for over 3 years, never got disappointed.

Every time you need to quickly get insights from your data - redash ways is the fastest way!

Pros:

Simple, Super fast Time-to-market, flexible

Cons:

you have to know what you're doing

Udi Oster

Been using Redash as our primary analytics and visualization tool at the company after going through many of the other more known platforms. Nothing compared to it.

Pros:

Simple, straight to the point, super cheap compared to other products on the market, versatile

Cons:

Visuals could be better
