Thanks for the early access, @adii. As you know, I wrote about emailed receipts back in March. Millions of sterile, monotonous receipts are sent each month. Receipts aren't traditionally delightful, but why can't they be? It's a missed opportunity, imo. Adii - you've been super transparent about your PublicBeta pivot. Of all the things you could be working on, why this?

Your article was the second one I read on the topic. :) I'm working on Receiptful, because it appeals to the designer in me (making all receipts in the world more beautiful) and also doubles down on the eCommerce space. The latter is something I learnt about quite a bit during my final years at WooThemes (in building the WooCommerce side of the business) and allows me to pursue my passion of building stuff that helps other businesses / entrepreneurs.

Great work @adii I'm pleased you've let the creative side shine. Do you have any thoughts on this space becoming commoditized e.g. Stripe analytics/metrics apps are now ten a penny.

I think you're spot-on with your opinion Stripe apps becoming more commoditized. That's exactly why Stripe is only a segue for Receiptful to go beyond that to other payment processors / POS systems / eCommerce platforms. :)

Thanks @eriktorenberg! In terms of getting started... I read an article (linked above) titled "Email Receipts Are the Future of Email Marketing" about 2 months ago and things just clicked in my head. The ultimate vision is still up for discussion. As a primary aim, I really want all receipts to look incredibly beautiful and - importantly, at the same time - I want to create a new marketing channel for companies & vendors. That said, I have a few peripheral ideas that would constitute a bigger "ultimate vision" that relates to big data. :)

It's only Stripe for now, but an open API is next up on the roadmap. Thereafter, the plan is to work on own integrations with leading eCommerce platforms, POS systems and other payment processors.

We already send some gorgeous receipt emails but adding the discount code, onboarding tips, etc. is really smart. Nicely done @adii.
