It’s been three years since we launched our app right here - we’ve been busy since then (too busy to update this page apparently 😳) and now we’re back with some exciting new features we wanted to share with you. Dan and Ben launched Recap back in 2018 to help solve their own problem: crypto taxes suck. After spending 40 hours compiling data for HMRC they were determined to find a better way. Although other crypto tax tools existed, none of them respected user privacy. That’s when Recap was born. We help UK, US and South African users submit their crypto taxes in our fully end-to-end encrypted browser app. We never see your transactions and we always prioritise our user's privacy. Today we are excited to launch our new dashboard designed to help demystify your crypto taxes. Recap now shows you your crypto net worth (your true worth after tax) as well as if you need to file a return, your current tax bill and how long until you need to pay.
