Recall.ai’s Output Media API lets you build AI agents that join video conferences on Zoom, Meet, Teams, and Webex. These agents can output audio and video, listen, and respond like real participants.
Hey everyone,
I’m YK from Recall.ai, and I’m excited to introduce the Output Media API. With this API, you can easily build live, interactive AI agents that can listen and react to meetings in real-time.
For developers, building AI agents has become much easier with APIs like the OpenAI realtime API. The difficult part is getting your AI agent into a video conference. This is because there are no APIs to send and receive low-latency video streams from Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, etc.
The solution is to use a service like Recall.ai which provides an API to create virtual participants that can join video conferences, receive real-time data from the conference, and display the agent as a participant in the meeting.
Give our Output Media API a try, and we’d love to hear your feedback. Below are some useful links:

@ihuzaifashoukat Thank you! Our customers already use this functionality to build AI-powered sales agents, coaches, recruiters, project managers, and more.
One that I'm personally excited about is the real-time translator sample app our DX engineer made. Here's a video showcasing what it can do: https://youtu.be/hModlcdkfpM
@yk_recallai Hi! I really support the launch of the Output Media API. This technology makes it incredibly easy for developers to create real-time interactive AI agents, which is an amazing innovation! The ability to integrate virtual participants into video conferences will significantly enhance engagement and efficiency. Especially with the rise of remote work, this solution will undoubtedly be well-received. I can't wait to try out your API and look forward to seeing more applications. Keep up the great work!
