Readwise Reader — The all-in-one reading app for power readers

Our users constantly found problems with these reading apps and asked us to fix them... which ultimately lead to us building Reader! I have been using Reader in private beta for the past two weeks and it has completely revolutionized how I consume content. Before, I had a complex system of free and paid services strung together by an overly complex workflow and still couldn't find a good way to annotate and highlight YouTube videos. With Reader, all the content I want in all its different mediums is in one place and I can easily highlight, annotate, and tag it - even YouTube videos! Within a week, I cancelled several subscriptions because Reader does what those services do and much better in several instances. The integration support, text-to-speech, and AI assistant are all just icing on the cake. I highly recommend, and congrats to the team on an awesome product!

Been using this for a while in private beta! And have been using the main Readwise itself for many years, huge fan. The integration of Readwise highlighting is a great feature. This is a great team and they're iterating very well on Reader. Am enjoying it so far and looking forward to even more product evolution coming.

thank you will be possible to import all the articles from pocket not the highlights so readwise may replace it?

What an impressive list of features! @chrismessina @homsit Storing everything from articles to YouTube videos with Reader's built-in tools looks like a great way to save time while staying up-to-date on the latest news and information.

I’ve been a private beta user for a little bit and it was a solid early product. With the latest updates, Reader has become a great product with a clear and promising pathway to becoming a killer app. Congratulations to @homsit and @ddoyon for all their hard work paying off and a successful launch.

Best app of the year imo. Helped me improve my content consumption diet and get rid of the unpractical content hoarding habit. Congrats to the entire team!

I was really blown away by Reader when I discovered it a few weeks ago. In such a short time-span it's really elevated how I consume content and has even encouraged me to be more thoughtful about annotating and highlighting more frequently. Would also highly recommend the Discord server as they are super responsive to feedback. Can't recommend the app highly enough and can't wait to see it develop and refine!

I’ve been using Reader for a couple of months (I use and am a fan of Readwise) and I love using this product daily. It’s amazing and getting better with each new build.

Reader looks promising. Something I really don't get: None of the content I have saved to Readwise is in Readwise Reader. All I see is the "Getting started with Reader" article, which doesn't give any hints as to how content from Readwise can be imported (I would assume this happens automatically with no actions needed from my side). Why is Readwise content not automatically shown in Readwise Reader? And how can it be rectified? There are no settings anywhere, it appears, and ditto no settings related to Reader in Readwise (Readwise Full subscriber here).

will it replace readwise app or its a companion I logged with my same account but couldn't find my previously imported tweets for example

How cool is this? I already love Readwise, and now you're telling me I have a Reader where I can get my feeds and save things to read later. This will eliminate two products for me!~

The Reader team has done more to innovate on the reading experience in 3 months than others have seemed to do in 3 years. I was already a huge Readwise fan, and now they've created another must-have app for me. I save a lot. Sometimes too much. And, with other apps, I found myself so habitually saving articles that I had trouble sorting them out on the other end. With Reader's filtered views and Inbox/Later approach, I can rely on my organization to create reading (and reference) lists for different moods and needs... and let the rest wither away. Plus, I've started consolidating more types of documents for a single place to read. As a speed reader, "second brain" enthusiast, and typography nerd, Reader has also greatly enhanced the reading experience for me. Two things I'll call out are the side panels (especially the document outline) and the ability to add notes to highlights (which also then sync to linked applications). These seemingly minor features have greatly improved my workflow in reading quickly and turning learnings into actionable insights.

ReadWise Reader is a game-changing app for reading RSS, mailing lists, PDFs, and epubs and noting YouTube videos. @ddoyon thank you so much for the brilliant ideas and realizations.

readwise is just perfect. highly recommended if you're a serious reader. also, Readwise is one of the few constants in my tool stack that i've never thought about replacing, thanks to their amazing focus and pace 🚀! congrats guys!

I have been using Reader for several months. It has escalated my reading productivity far more than a cappuccino. If you have been lost in Pocket quicksand or RSS overwhelm, Reader uncloaks pieces that merit time and attention. Reading them is a joy and they are tied in with spaced repetition to integrate highlights into my ongoing life.

The Readwise Reader is next level, reinventing what is possible with a reader app. I've been using it for a while now, nothing like it on the market. It's where I read almost everything now.
