Hello, Product Hunt! 👋 Russ, here, the cofounder and CTO of Rainforest QA. @fredsters_s and I started Rainforest to help software teams release high-quality products in a fast and affordable way -- fast enough to support the rapid development lifecycles startups need to stay competitive. Today, we’re excited to announce the availability of true no-code test automation, which you can use for free with our new Essentials plan. 🚀 No-code test automation: Now anyone on the team with a stake in product outcomes can contribute to product quality, including creating, updating, and running tests. Our users include product managers, developers, project managers, and more. 🎉 Run automated tests for free: We’re trying to make test automation truly accessible to every product team, so you can run up to five hours of automated tests for free every month with our new Essentials plan. (It’s just $5/hour after the first five hours every month.) 🤝 Integrate with your CI/CD pipeline: Our most successful customers include automated testing in their release processes so they can push code multiple times a day. Integrate with your pipeline via API, CLI, or CircleCI integration. 🔥 Get test results in minutes: No matter how many tests you run at a time, they run in parallel, giving you super-fast results (including video recordings of every test). Our customers using automated tests are getting results back in less than four minutes, on average. You can sign up for the new Essentials plan today: https://www.rainforestqa.com/ Looking forward to your thoughts, questions, and feedback! Russ

Not doing QA on your software product will kill your business. Not doing it fast means you’re not releasing code quickly enough to be competitive. That’s why we at Initialized Capital invested in Rainforest QA in 2018. It’s the best, no-code way for every product team to move to test automation. Anyone on the team can use it to write and run tests that return super-fast results. Now it's free, so any startup can push quality code at high speed.

@garrytan we are using QA Wolf to screen record QA actions and essentially automate the E2E test writing (Playwright, cross-browser tests). No code is cool but for integration into dev teams, low code is better I think for both speed and customization power. Does Rainforest being no code have something on the latter?
Russell Smith
@garrytan @garyfung as in, do we integrate in to dev workflows? Yes - we support most CI systems. Docs here, if you want to try - https://help.rainforestqa.com/do..., CLI code here too https://github.com/rainforestapp....

Russell Smith
@fredsters_s @chriseyin thanks for the love Chris! Def excited about the free tier, and seeing how folks use it!
Mariel Vargas
As a visual developer, so exciting the future of QA is also headed the same direction! #nocode
Russell Smith
@marielvargas 💯- it's exciting times seeing how much the no-code space is moving forward. Whilst you could build an app for free, there were no free ways to test - until today!
Ruben Wolff
Congrats on the launch, it looks like a nice product! How does the process work exactly?
Russell Smith
@rubenwolff the process is entirely visual, which means no-code - but also we can test basically any device. It is powered by our own in house computer vision!
Mauro Garcia
Wow! This looks fantastic! And 5 hours of automated tests / month for free is a huge deal!
Russell Smith
@mauro_garcia1 thanks! please let us know what you test with it, and spread the love!

Big Mood! Love the idea of smaller teams getting the QA resources they need for CHEAP
Matteo Moretti
very good
Russell Smith
@justmary thanks! Feel free to give us any feedback - are you thinking of testing Justmary?
Matt
Looks exactly what I'm looking for! I've the solarwinds pingdom option and that's robust also but costs, so happy about it being free
Russell Smith
@mattdotroberts nice - keep us posted on how you like it. It's usually used for testing releases and regression testing, but some folks also use it like Pingdom too!
Derric Gilling
Super excited for the new launch and the generous free tier. QA is critical for the best possible customer experience.
Russell Smith
@d_gilling thanks, and totally agree!
Abbie Moore
“Our proprietary automation tests what a user sees in your app, not what a computer sees behind the scenes. So you’ll test exactly what your customers experience.” Love this! QA through a customer lens!
David Meyer
I know the CTO and this product is top notch.
Russell Smith
Thanks David! 🥰

Looks very promising, congratulations for the launch! Quick question: Do you support mobile apps built with React Native as well? If not, any plans to support it in the future?
Lita Stephenson
Congrats, @rhs, @fredsters_s and the Rainforest team! The Essentials plan seems like a killer tool for founding teams looking to hit the ground running on limited resources. Really loving that clean test summary view too!
Christian Blank
We use Rainforest extensively and the no-code automated testing saves our developers tons of time they would spend maintaining test code.
Annabelle Stabler
Indeed great!
Darren Li
Exciting product, very helpful!

I am from the Application Security background and this looks really powerful to use as an input for subsequent security tests that can be run with a completely automated approach
