Hey everyone! πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ It's been a minute alright and I just wanted to say how thrilled we are to pull the proverbial sheet off of the new Radiant after many many months of evenings re-writing every last line of code to allow Rad to do more and be more places all at once! We can now move at a pace previously impossible with the old platform so feel free to check out the next experience, watch out for new features being added at speeds nearing whiplash territory and please add whatever product feature requests you have and we'll make it so πŸ™‚ I'm ALREADY hearing calls for Radiant on the web which we can now pretty readily make but if you have any other requests or feedback, let us know! Until then happy listening and don't forget to tweet at your friendly artificial D.J Rad over @OfficialRadDJ on Twitter!

Hey Product Hunt πŸ‘‹ It's been a while since our last launch! If you're new to Radiant, Radiant helps you discover the music you love through a A.I DJ who crafts your perfect day-to-day playlist, updates you on weather, events, dad jokes all whilst having a touch of humour! Since our last launch we have added: - An Android app (finally after A LOT of requests) - Tablet apps both iOS and Android - The ability to edit your song queue - Personalised stations for any of your moods - You can now tweet Rad to request a specific song which will play on a global playlist! Let us know what you think.

@aaronoleary Well, finally an Android app. I had to buy an iPhone to be able to use Radiant 😁. For me, there is only one issue: it occasionally stops when switching from WiFi to a cellular connection.
Aaron O'Leary
@faizal Did you really buy an iPhone to use Radiant? πŸ‘€ Ohhhh okay @patrickjmq we should look into that!
Patrick Quinn
@faizal @aaronoleary ahhh I think I know what this issue is, easy fix! I will have it sorted by lunch 😁 Also...oh man, I owe you a few thousand priority bug fixes to account for the cost of an iPhone! Cheers for the report btw! πŸ™‚

@faizal @aaronoleary Okay so i've looked into it and i'm assuming you're on Android buuut we've a little trade off to consider, if you want to basically cache so you're not dropping over when you switch from wifi to cellular, i'll need to enable cache. Sadly on Android, if you enable Spotify cache, you can't control its size so Rad will end with the default cache size which is 1GB. You can thank Spotify's SDK for this. TLDR; if we enable cache to fix this it'll basically mean Rad takes up a gigabyte of space on your phone. Keen to hear if you think it's worth the trade off? πŸ™‚

The app is amazing but the presenter keeps insulting me - is there a way to make him more friendly?

This is awesome! I get made fun of a lot by my friends for still listening to the radio in my car, but I cannot stand choosing my own music. At the same time, I'd love my phone to know when I am driving to the mountains at 4 am and want some chill music vs. when I am heading to a workout class after work and want some music hype me up!

This looks super cool. Have to try it out
