Hello PH,

I'm David, the CEO of Quadratic!

We built Quadratic to make it possible for anyone to understand and work with data. Quadratic's AI can code, write formulas, build visualizations, and interface with database connections all in a familiar interface. We are excited to hear your feedback and questions. Thanks for checking us out!

Masum Parvej

@davidkircos Does Quadratic support real-time collaboration, similar to Google Sheets, for teams working on data together?

Ayush Agrawal

@masump Yup, Quadratic has real-time collaboration. Please check it out and let us know if you have any feedback.

David DiMaria

@masump Simply share a file with other users on your team and start collaborating. Each user's cursor is displayed in a different color along with their name. Detailed info here: https://www.quadratichq.com/blog/quadratic-is-now-a-multiplayer-collaborative-spreadsheet

@davidkircos Congrats on the launch :)

Ellie

This is such an interesting tool! Seems much easier to work with than manually creating graphs on google sheets! The only thing I would be worried about is if google starts adding in AI functionalities to google sheets directly, just curious how do you plan to differentiate yourselves if/when this happens?

Good luck with the launch Quadratic team! 🥳

David Kircos

@elliezub Thanks! With AI everyone is getting more comfortable using code, so supporting code natively is a must for AI powered tools. Quadratic natively supports Python and SQL alongside formulas this enables users to do much more complex analysis in a much more elegant way.

Joshua Lynch

This looks great. Such a time (and headache) saver. Will be exploring this for analysing our marketing data.

Cole Stark

@joshua_lynch let me know how it works out for you! I've been using Quadratic to clean up my marketing lists lately for advertising. Say you have a field for "Full Name" but need to break that into First Name and Last Name. Instead of using a formula to split it in half, AI can detect patterns in the names and write Python code that makes this so much more efficient.

Luke

@joshua_lynch awesome - I use it a lot for connecting to our databases and APIs to gather marketing data for analysis (it's nice letting the AI handle this code automatically so I can focus on insights instead of hours of writing code)

Joshua Lynch

@cole_at_quadratic That's awesome! I'll definitely explore that.

Matt Billiodeaux

Still sad about the deprecation of the negative axes, but (still) (overall) love quatratic.

David Kircos

@matt_billiodeaux the reference notation for cells in the negative axes was challenging, moving to positive only allows us to use A1 references which are much more intuitive.

Jim Nielsen

@matt_billiodeaux love the honesty. I miss the infinite grid sometimes myself. But as a whole, I think it remains a compelling product the way all the pieces (revised and otherwise) fit together.

Matt Billiodeaux

@jim_nielsen  @davidkircos Agreed the change nets productivity! The intuitivity gains were well worth the trade off! Just want my cake and to eat it too :}

Either way, there is nothing like Quadratic on the market or off the market :)

jonchin

there is no general purpose AI canvas for working with information and structured data yet.

this has a chance of being that, with code, a spreadsheet interface, and of course LMs in the mix.

Cole Stark

@jonchin this is spot on. Humans really only work with data in a few different ways, with text data and structured data easily being the top 2.

David Kircos

@jonchin Quadratic is the first and only web spreadsheet with pinch and zoom

Stephen Silber

We have been using this for internal tooling for quite awhile and it drastically improved how quickly we can analyze data. Recommend for anyone doing anything beyond the very basics in Google Sheets or Excel.

David Kircos

@stephensilber Thanks Stephen, keep on letting us know how we can make it better!

Sam Jones

What a great tool! Lovely UI, easy to get into and so so powerful. Will be my go to for analyzing structured data.

Ayush Agrawal

@sam_pieces Thanks Sam!

Cole Stark
@sam_pieces appreciate the support Sam! Can you export workflow activity or LTM info from Pieces as .csv? That would be very interesting to dig into with Quadratic
Mia

That actually sounds pretty cool! So it’s like a mix of a spreadsheet and an AI assistant? How well does it handle large datasets?

Ayush Agrawal

@mia618601587321 Great question, Quadratic is a spreadsheet where you can pull in data from a lot of sources and analyze it using Python, JavaScript or Formulas. The best part is you can make AI to do all of this for you.
Quadratic already handles large datasets pretty well, more exciting things coming soon.
Please check it out and let us know if you have any feedback.

Cole Stark

@mia618601587321 our spreadsheet isn't built primarily for handling big data, but we do have big data performance improvements in our roadmap. Right now, I'm able to handle a few hundred thousand rows with no problem

Cole Stark

As someone who has no idea how to code, Quadratic has blown me away with what I'm able to accomplish with even just a simple list. When I first tried this tool, it was like using ChatGPT for the first time, but with structured data. AI is excellent at writing code, and when you embed both of these technologies natively into a tool you're already familiar with, magic happens.

I've saved hours cleaning, transforming, analyzing, and visualizing data, and it's actually fun to use! And I am typically not excited to open an Excel file. I can't wait to see what the community builds with Quadratic!

Atul Bhuju

I’ve been using Quadratic for the past two months, and the AI is truly impressive. It has become my go-to platform for working with files that contain tables, providing far better insights than any other platform I've used.

Ayush Agrawal

@atulbhuju100 Thank you Atul!

gabriel rapoport

I used to live in excel coming from the finance world. It’s so awesome to see what can be done with the AI in Quadratic.

Really excited to keep supporting this team and to see Quadratic change the spreadsheet game.

Tsavo Knott

The performance of this thing is pretty insane... Absolutely love that you can zoom out and see all the data at a high level vs scrolling for days in Google Sheets... Great work here team!

David Kircos

@tsavo_at_pieces Thanks! Our first month of code with Quadratic was figuring out performant text rendering in WebGL

Luke

Quadratic has become my default tool for studying product analytics, scenario modeling, and more. It's super fun working on a product that you also use daily.

MD Amirul Islam

Looks great. Thank you, team. Recommend.

Ayush Agrawal

@1mirul Thanks for your support Amirul!

Shushant Lakhyani

I've just checked Quadratic and it seems to be a promising tool for data analysts

David DiMaria

It's been fun helping build Quadratic. We use it daily! I fully believe that Quadratic is transforming how we will work with data, using the familiar grid we all know along with cutting-edge AI and coding capabilities. It's feels truly innovative to be able to write Python, SQL, and JavaScript directly in a spreadsheet, chat with my data using AI, and connect seamlessly to live databases like PostgreSQL and Snowflake.

Sam Hilsman

looks dope

Jim Nielsen

Quadratic lives at a sweet spot for me. I love to code, but I’m also a visual thinker. When coding, I consistently find myself visualizing the shape of data in my head. Enter Quadratic, which combines code with a spreadsheet. No more continuous logging and printing. Now I work by fetching data and putting it on a structured grid, then I can shape it, manipulate it, and transform it until I have exactly what I want — and AI makes this process all 10x faster!

Peter Mills

After being hands on with Quadratic it's empowered me to do some pretty complex Python / Pandas data analysis with no previous experience. Chatting with the AI, seeing the results, but also getting to look at the code is really cool and helps one understand how it's all working. Looking forward to continuing to support the team.

Darren Liccardo

This was a game changer for cleaning up a list of about 1000 expense records and then comparing them against an accounting ledger. Wrote all the python with the built in ai copilot!
