Hello Product Hunters πŸ‘‹ First off, a big thank you to @chrismessina for hunting Qlearly. Qlearly is a modern bookmark and tabs manager. It allows you to organize your favorite websites using boards and columns. As someone that has been working online for almost a decade now, in some ways, I have been trying to solve a problem I noticed many times and believe others have or eventually will encounter. Here are some of the main features: πŸ’» Sync with multiple devices. πŸ” Search through your bookmarks. ⏰ Quickly save or open tabs in bulk. πŸ’Ό Share boards with team members. πŸ‘₯ Create public boards or columns. (Example of a public board and a public column). 🚨Quick note: Qlearly will replace your new tab! However, we do have a workaround. Here is how to turn this off. Here is a few links you might find helpful: Our Help Center. Getting Started Guide. All the ways to save tabs on Qlearly. For anyone interested, this article will show you the design progression of our extension. I will be here all day to answer any questions you might have, so ask away! 🍻

@guillaumebardet Wait, how do you turn off the new tab function?
Guillaume Bardet
@clarencewee Thank you for getting involved and giving it a try Clarence. Here is how to turn this off. Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't allow it to be a feature for now. Hopefully, this will change in the future!

Takes all the good things that Toby for Chrome was doing and improves upon them. The Trello-like UI allows for easy drag-and-drop organising making it way easier to collect your bookmarks for different projects and purposes. Its still early days, and so there are still a couple kinks in the armour; the UI for adding bookmarks could be improved, avoiding duplicates isn't obvious and importing/exporting bookmarks seems too much of a manual process. But so far I'm very impressed with the speed and ease of this fine browser extension β€” Two thumbs up! *There is a workaround for this β€” see Guillaume's post for more.

Pros:

(+) Easily organise your bookmarks on different boards and swap between them fast! Great for people with multiple projects.

Cons:

(-) Can't add bookmarks to new columns on-the-fly (-) No 'Toby Mini' version yet for users who don't always bookmarks appearing in new tabs*

Clearly has been one of my favorite tools since it launched. I use more Chrome extensions than most people I know but only a handful are critical to my workflow and get installed on every machine and profile I use. Clearly is one of those critical extensions. Long forgotten and disorganized bookmarks have found new light and new life since I began using Clearly. Together with Workona and TabSnooze I have a perfect system for working in the browser. I am looking forward to watching Clearly develop but I'm not sure it needs any improvement from today.

Pros:

Fast, beautiful design, intuitive, easy to use, reliable

Cons:

None to this point

I think it's changed my work habits and caused me to be a bit more organized. I'm curious how you use it with Workona. When you have a new tab, which extension controls it? I'm only now installing Workona but don't see how I used them together yet. Thanks!
Mary Barba
@just_s Thank you SO MUCH for mentioning Workona and Tab Snooze! I looked them up and they are changing everything. W O W ! :D I am curious though, why do you use Qlearly if you have Workona?
Emme SINGER
Love the confetti after install. Gonna give this a try and see if it does all everyone says ;-)
Guillaume Bardet
@esinger Thank you for pointing it out Emme, I am glad you liked it! It is fairly easy to set up if you ever want to do that for one of your projects. That sounds great, let me know if you have any questions I will be around. :)
grace
@esinger Thanks @esinger for another great recommendation! I love this product (but 6$ p/m is still too much)

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I must say @guillaumebardet has made an amazing service. πŸ‘ πŸ‘ Really happy with the product itself, and the maker's willingness through out the past weeks.
Guillaume Bardet
@newlifeshoes Thank you very much for getting involved Ali, I am really glad you like the extension so far! πŸ™

If you have lots of bookmarks, then try Qlearly. Love the improvement since the last time I used it. Good job, Guillaume πŸ‘

@deadcoder0904 Thank you very much for the kind words, Akshay! I am glad you like the improvements we've made so far :)

Can be a great product...if you pay for it. *****Been using Qlearly --- now I'm being blocked from my bookmarks and Qlearly is demanding me to pay to have access to my bookmarks via an "UPGRADE." Basically they are holding me hostage now. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR QLEARLY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR IT. Otherwise your work saving pages is stolen from you and you lose your work.
Ryan Groh
@jay_seville agree. I paid for the upgrade yesterday morning and I still can't get access to my bookmarks.

Guillaume Bardet
@eduardotorres Thank you very much for getting involved, Eduardo. All your feedback prior to launching has been very much appreciated! πŸ™Œ
Frederic Sune
Pros: Easy to use, love the dashboards, the drag & drop to manage bookmarks is amazing. Cons: No nested folders like raindrop.io --- But I spoke with the founder, @guillaumebardet, and they are looking into this functionality! You definitely need to check them out.
Guillaume Bardet
@frederic_sune Thank you very much for your support, Frederic. We are indeed looking into this!
Lino Grubben
I see potential here, especially in terms of exploring new sites (that Qlearly suggests, maybe also based on what other users add to their boards). You could load the latest post of a site, if available, into a board, and make it kind of a feed. One topic, one feed. The problem about all the apps we get our news from is that they lump together everything we have subscribed to. Add some colors, Guillaume!
Guillaume Bardet
@linogrubben Thank you very much for your detailed feedback! We have indeed thought about curated feeds for a specific column based on specific categories. We are also working on ways to connect certain news feed to a column :) We are not 100% we will keep everything we will ship in the near future, but we will see if this is something users will find useful. Regarding the colors, we are definitely planning to work on different themes! πŸ™

This is one of those products I wished existed years ago! Before Qlearly I had a mess with my bookmarks and tabs. I am grateful I've been using it for a while, helps with mental clarity and reduces stress πŸ˜ƒ Congrats on the launch @guillaumebardet and thanks for listening to feedback πŸ‘
Guillaume Bardet
@walterolando Hello Walter, thank you for getting involved! I am glad you have found it to be a good solution. Let me know if you have any suggestions :)
Ted Chen
Simple concept but powerful functionalities!!! I would suggest to add more colour on the UI. Congrats on the launch πŸ˜ƒ
Guillaume Bardet
@teddd That is indeed a good point, Ted. Thank you for bringing it up! We are hoping to have numerous themes in about a month or so :)
Kavya Jha
Glad someone finally made something like this!! I've just started using it, so I'll probably share a detailed post only later - but have really likes the experience so far. Just a query - is it possible to import existing bookmarks from Chrome? Couldn't find the option (or maybe I missed something in the tutorial), but I think it would be super useful. I have folders and sub folders of bookmarks already, just really wishing I could import it to Qlearly haha.
Guillaume Bardet
@kavya_jha Hello Kavya, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We do have a solution for now, but I will be the first to admit it doesn't seem like it has been the best solution yet. On the top right of a board, you will notice a button called 'Bookmarks'. This is a list of your browsers bookmarks. You can then drag and drop them to specific columns. Any new website you bookmark while browsing around will get added to the top of the list. In the near future, we will ship an update that allows you to import all your bookmarks or specific folders. We just need to do quite a bit of testing to make sure the folders properly split into columns. :)
Neil McKie
Great feature! But $6 is a lot for a micro feature that can be easily replicated in many other free web-based apps.
Guillaume Bardet
@neil_mckie1 Hello Neil, thank you for your input! As you might have noticed, you actually can't upgrade yet. This is because we are not 100% sure about the pricing we will go with just yet. We are hoping to maybe do a brief survey in the coming days to learn a bit more about what would be reasonable. πŸ˜ƒ
ManΓ© Karen
@ruzanna_avetisian Have you seen this?
Guillaume Bardet
@mane_gharibyan Thank you very much for sharing it ManΓ©! @ruzanna_avetisian πŸ‘‹ Ruzanna, let me know if you have any questions!
