Unravel the mysteries of Pyramid Solitaire, where ancient wisdom meets modern gaming. Can you climb to the top today and join the ranks of all-time legends?
Hello Product Hunt!
In April I screwed around and developed a pyramid solitaire game in a week.
Friends and family enjoyed it so much I decided to have a professional design created (thanks @ropesandhopes), and then architected and rebuilt it from the ground up over the past few months.
It now features a "Pyramid of the Day" game (similar to Wordle), an "Easy Pyramid" (practice game) where every game is solvable, and a "Classic Pyramid" game where the card deck is random.
It is 100% responsive, you can play in landscape or portrait, it offers left- or right-handed landscape play, has a login system, player statistics, a leaderboard (today and all-time), and a fun, sharable graphic (whether you win or lose).
The game play is simple:
1. Clear the pyramid by pairing cards that total 13
2. Use the draw pile to clear unpaired pyramid cards
3. Kings (13) remove alone, Ace=1, Jack=11, Queen=12
I hope you enjoy the game, and would love to hear what you think. 🙏
@michaelcyger Congratulations on the launch of your Pyramid Solitaire game! It's impressive how you've turned a fun project into a polished, professional product with so many features. The "Pyramid of the Day" is a brilliant addition, giving players a daily challenge to look forward to, much like Wordle. The attention to detail, like landscape and portrait modes, left- or right-handed play, and the sharable graphics, really shows your dedication to creating an enjoyable and accessible experience for all players. Best of luck with the launch—I'm sure it will be a hit!
@jatin_kaurani Thanks for playing, Jatin!
This has really been a labor of love, and I'm excited to release this updated version with so many of the features that people suggested in the last few months.
@jijosunny Oh wow, I am not a player at Chess.com so I will have to go check out their design. They're clearly the market leader in their massive segment, so I have a lot to learn from them. Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for playing!
We should maybe run a BuyMeACoffee.com contest someday soon for anyone that beats me on Pyramid.com for the day?!
Hey Michael! Nice to see this kind of launch. It's not only about AI and Big data but also about playing games and having fun. Hope everybody can enjoy the same way and wish you all the best here!
@german_merlo1 I was debating whether to add "AI powered" to the description in hopes of getting more promotion, haha.
Thanks for checking it out, Germán. Much appreciated!
This sounds fantastic, @michaelcyger! Love how you’ve mixed ancient vibes with modern gameplay. The "Pyramid of the Day" is a clever twist, can't wait to challenge myself daily! 🎮 How’s the traction been so far? Any interesting KPIs you've seen?
Congratulations on the launch, great UI/UX, very smooth, i guess you can add multiplayer and other modes of playing too, like for a family gathering or when a couple want to play a match.
overall great game, great job by you guys and good luck today.
@m4jiz I love the idea of multiplayer, Majid!
I was contemplating adding a "invite your friends" and then connecting you and your friends on a leaderboard just for your group! Similar idea.
Thanks for trying it and for your support. It's much appreciated.
Congratulations on the launch of your Pyramid Solitaire game! 🎉
It’s impressive that you took a fun project from concept to a polished game with such thoughtful features. The "Pyramid of the Day" and the variety of game modes sound like they’ll keep players engaged and coming back for more.
Question for you: What inspired you to include features like the leaderboard and sharable graphics? Are there any future updates or additional features you're planning to add based on user feedback?
Excited to check it out and see how the community responds! 🃏🚀
@lemuel_albotra1 Thanks, Lemuel. It has been a really fun project so far.
My wife and I play Wordle daily so I was hoping to add a little math to our daily, friendly challenge.
I love how it combines a classic game with my daily challenges. I think if there be a feature to save and revisit old puzzles or compare stats over time? That could make it even more engaging.
@rigel_cunningham If you leave Easy or Classic, it pauses the timer and you can resume anytime you want.
If you leave Pyramid of the Day, it pauses the timer but the game resets at midnight every night to the next day's game.
