Refold — Portable cardboard standing desk

This would be a cool temporary situation for my new flat seeing as there is no furniture in it... I do think the price-point is pretty steep for what it is... Maybe I'll build one myself from empty beer crates 🍻

I like the concept, but also agree on the price point comments above. This needs to be a sub-$100 product

I really like cardboard furniture. And cardboard in general, it is like foldable wood in some cases. Very cool.

Yes, this is great. I loved it and was going to buy one. But $250 is crazy. I would maybe pay $35 or so! It's sad because I was going to buy one. :(

Yes, this looks like something that should be $49 at Costco, Staples or Office Depot. I could see this also being a good solution for a pop up table for public events.

+1 for Flatpack and self-packing. This is also probably the lightest material that is sturdy enough to do this. It is recyclable when done. Really the only problem I see is the price. Trying to look a the pros. Definitely interesting.

Concept is pretty cool. I can surely envision more of the furniture like this however at these price points, it just becomes a novelty .

Very expensive, but I'm guessing that their shipping fees from New Zealand would be quite a lot

You are not disrupting the standing Desk market, Ikea's standing desk is probably cheaper than this. the portability of it is great idea but I am sure it takes its toll on the life time of the cardboard material.

Hefty price, and weird tagline too ("so much more than just a desk"). It seems they're trying to position it as a quality leader when it's product-market fit should be as a cost leader.

The person who would buy this is insane in my book as for 200 more he can get a electronic standing desk from Ikea. The manufacturer definitely need to streamline how they produce this thing. It should be 50 bucks at the most.

two questions- What do you do about a chair? What happens if you spill water on it?

Just set a cardboard box on top of your regular desk. That costs $0.

Solution: Sell a stencil instead, and let us use regular moving boxes.
