There are no talking voices in this app. Choose from a selection of background sounds to compliment your sessions such as Ocean, Stream, River. You'll be greeted by thoughtfully curated motivational quotes at the beginning and end of every session.

My name is Dickson, the creator of Pulse. I created this app to explore how mindfulness can inform my design philosophy, enhance my creativity and general well-being. My journey into a daily meditation practice has helped me find much peace and joy and I hope my work, in some way, may help you find yours.

I've been using Pulse since the summer. I grew weary of meditation apps with guided voice prompts, subscription fees, and frankly virtue signaling around "mindfulness". Meditation is a deeply personal thing that I have a connection to for long stretches but then I sometimes take breaks from when life takes me out of my routine. I didn't want to pay monthly for an app when I wasn't consistent but I also needed more advanced options when I reconnected. After a long search and numerous other apps Pulse was the perfect balance. It has a progression mode that helped improve the length of my meditation without verbal intrusion. I don't like too many sounds when I meditate but there are times when it's nice to have something to tune out the outside world. For that I use the pink or white noise and the Tibetan bell is nice as a rhythmic, focal point. To be able to buy this app once for the value it has given me is a no brainer. It's good to see it on Product Hunt and I hope more people can benefit from it. Keep up the great work!
