This is an important step for us at Public to help people build their portfolios. When one picks their own stocks it's often a mix of companies they believe in for the long-term and companies they're just getting to know. Long-term portfolio helps one split the two, keep a clearer picture and understand how far one is from being eligible for capital gains tax.
