Super comfortable, great for me since i live in a smaller place. Always provides comfortable seating for guests...or myself.
Nali Madu
@kunaltandon I have a small place in NYC and this works perfect
Annaliese Cruz
@kunaltandon @nali_madu I thought it would be too hot to sit on but its fine
Adam Kornfield
Very cool looking product, looks like could be great alternative to sitting in my desk chair all day!
Greg Schwartz
@adamkornfield thanks for the note Adam!!

Big thanks to @ryandawidjan for hunting! Been working with @johnnyfio for a while on this amazing product, and we're incredibly excited to bring it to life on Kickstarter! Happy to answer any questions about the product -- just reply here :)
Brandon Doyle
@ryandawidjan @johnnyfio @gregmschwartz Greg - this looks amazing!
Greg Schwartz
@ryandawidjan @johnnyfio @travelintweeter Thanks for the support Brandon!

Looks really cool! I wish the video showed how stable the reclining/sitting position is - it always cuts away a little too soon. For anyone who wants to enjoy the zero gravity experience in the meantime, I highly recommend looking up the zero gravity patio chairs on amazon. Only $50, and comfortable enough to fall asleep in. I do most of my work in one, and it's wonderful. Less versatile than this bean bag, but no reason not to have both :)

Strongly recommend reading some of the 3000+ kickstarter comments on the Gravity blanket, the campaign that existed before this did. It seems to be an endless stream of people complaining they never received the blanket and were ultimately denied any refund (or even a response). The final product that shipped was significantly smaller than the dimensions promised. The dimensions of the actual blanket are identical to weighted blankets sold on alibaba wholesale, etc, suggesting product wasn't even manufactured for the campaign at all. I don't condone the witch hunt nature that some backers have taken into their own hands, but there's no denying that the satisfaction was exceptionally low for the vast majority of people that backed the prior campaign (myself included).
John Fiorentino
@runsammrun Gravity has 60,000+ and growing customers that love the product. The kickstarter was completed 100%.
Greg Schwartz
@runsammrun Thanks for the note, and happy to discuss some of your points above. To be clear, Moon Pod is a separate company from Gravity. We’ve made deliberate decisions to do things differently. For example, we're shipping Moon Pod to only the 48 contiguous United States in order to ensure that Moon Pod is delivered safely to all of our backers. Additionally, our manufacturers are ready to handle this campaign and the volume of backers that we're expecting. Additionally, we have a customer support staff ready to handle all of our backers requests.
Andrew Huang
@runsammrun @johnnyfio Sorry but this response just doesn't do it. Backers of Gravity (I'm one of them) have a right to be vocal about how terrible that customer experience was and to be wary about this new venture. Those who aren't aware, the best advice here is to stay away from Moon Pod. Spare yourselves. Good luck shaking off of the tarnish, John.
sam marcus
@johnnyfio John, there are thousands of backers who have (still) not received their product. They are not invisible and are not in hiding. In fact, they're quite vocal — there are (literally) support groups that have been created to commiserate how awful this campaign was and explore legal options. It is patently absurd for you to suggest it was completed "100%". If thousands of backers do not physically receive the promised final product, how are you calculating this percentage value? This isn't a rhetorical question, I'm truly curious what you mean by "completed 100%" given these circumstances. I'm genuinely sorry that your last campaign has brought so many enemies your way, but it takes a lot of nerve to come on here and hawk yet another new product and defend your last campaign as if it went all peachy.
sam marcus
@gregmschwartz if your new campaign is so unrelated to the previous one that John was involved in, why does he have *any* association with it? It either is or it isn't — it can't be both.
John Fiorentino
Thanks for the hunt @ryandawidjan! After the success of the Gravity Weighted Blanket, I was determined to continue my mission to help the world relax a little easier. Today, I’m launching Moonpod! Moonpod is a lightweight beanbag engineered to make you feel like you’re floating. It’s the perfect complement to the the Gravity Blanket, and I’m truly excited to share it with you today -- we just launched on Kickstarter. I promise you it is actually the most comfortable thing you will ever sit, work, or nap in.
Michael Musgrove
@ryandawidjan @johnnyfio You may want to read some of the comments about people's experiences with the Gravity Weighted Blanket. I wouldn't go around calling it a "success." It impacts your credibility in a negative way, so then to "promise" something afterward is living on the edge.
wojtek
Please consider shipping to Europe!
Greg Schwartz
@pugson Hi Wojtek, Europe is definitely in our plans! We want to ensure that we can safely deliver products to all of our backers before we expand. Thanks again for all of you support!
Jeffrey Berry

A quick search yielded damning results for this team and their unethical business practices. Skimming through the comments on Gravity Blanket and even this product on Kickstarter does not paint a positive picture. Further promoting their products or any product they are involved with would only be a disservice to the users of Product Hunt.

Pros:

Neat concept

Cons:

Tainted by unethical business practices from a previous product

Greg Schwartz
Hi @jeffrey - To be clear, Moon Pod is a different company from the previous product. We're taking steps to ensure that everything runs smoothly during this campaign, and beyond. We’ve made the careful decision to ship Moon Pod to only the 48 contiguous United States in order to ensure that backers receive their Moon Pods, and minimize any errors in transit. Our manufacturers are ready to go, and our customer support team is here to respond to any backer questions or requests.
Daniel Tasman
Don't trust this team to get you an amazing product. I had a lot of issues getting my Gravity Blanket and they were completely unresponsive for 5 months after they said they had delivered it to me (they had not). I was an original backer on Kickstarter and was left behind. It was a horrible experience. I don't recommend using these guys products, they are a marketing machine with no operations or customer success processes.
Greg Schwartz
@dantasman Hi Daniel - We hear you, and we can assure you that the Moon Pod team (different from Gravity) is implementing new strategies, and taking the proper precautions to ensure that Moon Pod backers have a much better customer experience. I'm happy to answer any additional questions!
Krishna Chaitanya 'KC'
@dantasman @gregmschwartz I wish there was at least an apology in that reply! No one knows the truth but a sorry would have gone a long way in getting the backer. It definitely looks like some big goof up that you guys did in the comments section both on this product and the Gravity Blanket. https://www.kickstarter.com/proj... https://www.kickstarter.com/proj... Word of caution for the community!
Greg Schwartz
@kaycee hey Krishna, thanks for your concern. The Gravity team did its best to fulfill the orders that came through on Kickstarter. The team apologizes to every backer who had a less than ideal experience, Daniel included. With a different team and different processes, we’re working really hard to ensure that this campaign runs smoothly! Let me know if you have any questions about Moon Pod!
Krishna Chaitanya 'KC'
@gregmschwartz Sorry but in all that I mentioned, I forgot to mention that the product looks great! Wish you all the very best! Really hoping that this product pivots the bad experiences from the past.
Greg Schwartz
@kaycee thanks for the kind words, Krishna!
Michael Gangnath

If you want a $400 child sized bean bag chair to exfoliate your skin as you struggle to sleep on it - then this product is perfect for you (if you’re under 5’6”) Promoting this further would be a disservice to Ryan Hoover and the product community

Pros:

Small Great case study

Cons:

Deceptive Marketing Expensive Copy

Greg Schwartz
Hi Michael - I cannot find your name in our order history. Can you let us know the email you used to purchase the product? Also, feel free to email our team directly at cx@moonpod.co so we can help better understand your experience.

A lot of people have testified to using hemp oil reduce their anxiety but as far as i know, my mum got introduced to this hemp oil infused chewing gum called Yooforic and this gum has proven to cure anxieties. My mum is always seen calm each time she chews the gum, though it doesn’t get her high. This is a medicinal product and i will recommend to anyone who is looking to cure their anxieties.
Braydon Nelson
This looks awesome!
Greg Schwartz
@braynelson thanks Braydon! super excited to launch it :)
moonpod
We love it :)
Ana Mouratidou
Looks really comfortable guys. Perfect for my back. And so simplistic. It could be an Apple standard product :)
Greg Schwartz
@ana_mouratidou hey Ana - thank you so much for your support and your flattering design comparison :) It truly is an incredible feeling to sit in a Moon Pod!
Jo Staron
GO AWAY FROM THIS PROJECT. I backed up their first kickstarter project (Gravity blanket) and here is my experience: - delay in delivering the product - customer support not answering - product not respecting the description. Size is too small and they didn't even notice us by mail or anything. I told them that by law you have a month to return product and get a refund and they invented something so I couldn't do it. I have lost my money and worst, I will not backup any more projects on Kickstarter because of them. I am not used to comment on PH but I was so disappointed that I don't want any more people to lose their money.
Sherri Craig
I like it Don't. believe that it. Has all the medical benefits it claims.
Greg Schwartz
@sherri_craig Thanks for the comment. We made no claims about Moon Pod, just that we think users feel amazing and relaxed when using it! You will no doubt feel more relaxed -- we do, at least :) Additionally, we mention that we designed it around the idea that it simply mimics the sensations of flotation therapy.
Loren B
John uses his last Kickstarter as justification that he can be trusted. He claims his last backer was 100% fulfilled. I can't tell you the efforts I took to get them to hear me that I never received a blanket - but I NEVER received a blanket. So it is NOT 100% fulfilled. It is NOT. He is also backing this the same way with stress, health, and anxiety. I am a social science research professor. He HASN'T done actual research to make these claims.
Greg Schwartz
Hi @lorenb1 - this is a separate company from Gravity Blanket. I'd like to reiterate that. However, I'd like to help you resolve this issue. Can you please our team (Moon Pod) an email at support@moonpod.co ? From there, we can see if we're able to contact the team at Gravity Blanket to help. Additionally, the only claims we make about the product specifically are that you feel relaxed when you use it. We'll be on the lookout for your email to see if we can help. Thanks, Greg
Loren B
@moonpod @gregmschwartz Maybe not the same "company" but the same guy who is using his "success" on Kickstarter last year to promote it. So if you want to detach from that Kickstarter.. don't bring it up in your Kickstarter campaign. Also, talking about "researching stress and anxiety" in any capacity.. is trying to suggest something. You know what you are doing. I am just trying to protect consumers from making the same mistake I did.
Greg Schwartz
@lorenb1 Hi Loren - I certainly understand your concern, and I'm sorry about your experience with the Gravity Blanket. While the creator is the same, we are taking an entirely different approach to this project with a new team. We love the Moon Pod product. It makes us and everyone who has tried it more relaxed. We are excited to deliver the product to our backers, and will do so as soon as we're able to! Thanks, Greg
Dawn Henke
You’re still lying. When I finally got an answer from gravity blanket, all they said is that they’ll get back to me. The zipper came completely off in less than a week. I’ve reached out to them more times than I can count via fb messenger, the email addresses they listed to contact them on Kickstarter, and in Kickstarter comments. No matter how many times I try to get them to fix this defective product, they never even bother with a reply. This guy has no clue how to run a business, and it shows. Countless numbers of backers are still without their blankets or refunds, and many others received defective items. John has done nothing to remedy this. He thinks just moving on to the next alibaba resell crap will somehow wipe the slate clean. I hope everything you ever try to do in the future crashes and burns after how badly you burned so many of your original backers. And nice job getting alibaba to take down that link. I imagine it went something like this: “I’m going to have to cancel my very large order from you guys if you keep this up on your site, as Kickstarter will (justifiably) freeze my campaign.” So, knowing you’ll be making a big order once the campaign ends, they took it down. I’m sure it’ll be back up once this campaign ends.
Greg Schwartz
@dawn_henke - we're sorry to hear about your experience with Gravity Blanket. Additionally, Moon Pod doesn't produce products from vendors on Alibaba. If you looked at the listings, it was clear that the vendors took our entire kickstarter campaign page and put it on their vendor listing site. Because our amazing backers noticed so quickly and alerted us, we were able to notify the infringing vendors to have their fake listings taken down immediately.
Jason Behrend

I backed their gravity blanket and was shipped a faulty product. It is now seven months into getting an exchange and they fail to respond. Cannot and will not trust this company again. How about instead of releasing a new product, fix the one you have and honor your commitments.

Pros:

Cool concept

Cons:

Unethical business

Greg Schwartz
Hi @jason - To be clear, Moon Pod is a different company from Gravity. Also, we're happy to say we've shipped thousands of Moon Pods to happy customers. If you have questions feel free to contact our team at cx@moonpod.co.
Michael Lisovetsky

The reviews here are irrelevant and for a different product.

Pros:

Great product! Very comfy.

Cons:

I would want the sleeve to be a darker color to be less likely to get dirty.
