This is a convenient app, but my reading position is not restored. An option "Automatically resume reading position" is enabled in settings.

@vadim_khamzin Yes, I think it has some usability issues. It does not behave as expected in several regards. Has potential though.

Looks like a great product POLAR team :) I've added feedback here if it helps. Congratulation launching on Product Hunt!

Hi PH! This is Jonathan, one of the makers here at Polar along with Kevin Polar is an integrated reading environment that allows you to build a knowledge base from your reading materials Polar actually started as a side project, when Kevin was working on a different startup idea and was reading on various new topics a lot. Similarly, my interest comes from doing a PhD in chemistry and always looking for a better way to organize all the research papers and information I would extract from that reading Polar is a tool that enables you to keep all your reading in one place, prioritize and track reading, annotate, highlight, comment, connect thoughts, and create flashcards from those annotations. Since Polar is cloud-based, you can easily sync all of your reading and annotations across multiple files. Here are the specifics: Organize and prioritize your reading Upload PDFs and EPUBs, and capture web pages with the Polar Chrome extension. Keep all your documents in one place. Manage and prioritize your reading with progress tracking, flagging, tagging, and much more Read actively Our integrated document viewer is great for incremental and active reading. Annotate, highlight text and areas, tag annotations, comment, use advanced pagemarks, and create flashcards from highlights Annotations viewer Keep all your annotations, highlights, and comments in one place. Our annotation viewer shows you all the information you want to keep in one place. Tag, comment, create flashcards, cross-reference information all in one place Create and review flashcards Polar allows you to create flashcards in one click from an annotation. Once created, you can review them directly in Polar using our spaced repetition algorithm. Alternatively, use our Anki integration to sync them to Anki. Polar also enables you to review annotations Keep track of your reading With our integrated reading statistics, you can easily track your reading, commit to daily goals, thereby keeping you motivated.
