Plenty of phones to buy for this price
Pros:Nope
Cons:Cheap iPhone knock off. Copied after they mocked iPhone for not having headphone jack! And expensive too for the lack of features.
This is the crown jewel of Android phones at the moment. If you want to stick with iOS, go ahead—you know where to go. This is pure, unadulterated Android.
Pros:AI-focused experience, best smartphone camera... ever, unlimited, full-res photo and video storage, works with Project Fi, and more
Cons:Price could be better, a bit more water resistance would be nice
The Google Pixel 2 is a seriously amazing phone. I was an iPhone user for 5 years before switching. What got me to convert was all the smart features packed into this phone.
- The Google Assistant integration makes managing your life so much easier. Simply squeeze the sides of the phone and it activates the assistant. The voice recognition is good and I find myself using the voice control features all the time.
- The camera is unreal. The default quality of the camera is impressive enough, but the portrait mode creates some seriously beautiful pictures. My wife has an expensive DSLR camera and often she'll want to use my phone instead for shots.
- The raw Android experience on the Pixel 2 shows Android at its best. It strips away everything you don't need and serves up the best features that you do need. This makes for a blazing fast phone that just does what you need it to do.
- The Google Lens feature is one of my favorites. Take a picture of anything and Google will do a search to pull up any relevant information it can find. The results are often amazing. I once took a picture of the nutrition facts on a can of hot cocoa and just from that it was able to pull up what brand of cocoa it was, give me all the details about the brand (including a link to their site), and told me where to buy it.
The Google Pixel 2 is truly the smartest phone I've ever had. Transferring from an iPhone was a piece of cake and took about a half an hour.
Pros:Insanely fast and truly smart. Tight integration with Google Assistant makes everything convenient. AMAZING camera.
Cons:Screen can sometimes appear bluish.
From Investopedia:
"Google services do not cost the user anything. Instead, Google lures in users and collects their data, and then sells access to eager buyers across the planet. Every marketing firm in the world wants the kind of information and repeat usage Google enjoys. "
Apple: I am not saying Apple is an NGO saving the world as they desperately try to depicture themselves on their product keynotes.
They sit on the biggest, or one of the biggest, cash reserves in the world (more that what many countries have) because we pay far too much for their products.
But at least their business model is not your data, or is it?
Pros:Beautiful design, good camera, blah, blah... I believe Samsung Note 8 or Galaxy 8+ beats it tho, but that is not the point.
Cons:PRIVACY. You pay with your $$ and with your data. Please don't forget that!
nothing more
Pros:Specification is good and front screen design is nice.
Cons:not looks great from back side. Old design :|
