Hi, Producthunters! I'm Nazar, one of the guys behind Photolemur. Big thanks to @erictwillis for hunting us! đŸ˜ș First of all - we’re here to get any product feedback you all have 🙏 Everyone who will be among the first 50 ‘feedbackers', will get a free license for the Photolemur app.🩄 SO, WHAT’S PHOTOLEMUR ABOUT? Photolemur is the world’s first really fully automated photo editing solution for creating perfect photos powered by image recognition and Artificial Intelligence. It works on Mac and PC, automatically analyzes and perfects your images, and doesn’t require any manual involvement. The truth is, that any photo editing software can make photos look good. Photolemur does it automatically. The app doesn’t change the image or bring in effects, it reveals the hidden details that made the image great in the first place. It brings natural, vivid looks to photos, just the way we see with our eyes, and the way we remember a scene. With the most advanced groundbreaking tech inside, based on image recognition and Artificial Intelligence, Photolemur challenged all camera flaws and imperfections to make your photos even better. After 8 years of developing photo editing tools, consultation with tens of dozens award-winning and professional photographers, and analyzing over 700,000 photos, we released the app that knows just which part of your photo needs to be fixed for that perfect end result. For us, it’s a kind of re-invention of digital photography (we believe that Photolemur is changing the way people process their images). WHAT’S NEW IN PHOTOLEMUR 2.0 đŸ„’ New UX - After the launch of the first version of the Photolemur app for Mac OS in December 2016, we rebuilt the UX from the ground up to bring the seamless photo editing workflow of drag-drop-experience to both Mac and PC users. MAC and PC - Photolemur is available now for Mac and PC platforms Enhanced technology - The technology behind have also received an update in its algorithms after almost one million photos have been analyzed. Once again, we’re here to get your feedback, so, please download the app from the website https://photolemur.com/product, write a feedback and get your free License!🙏 UPD: Today we launched on Setapp, amazing new Marketplace for Mac Apps from @kosovan @graver_ua and @yaroslav_s, so you can try us there https://go.setapp.com/stp171?ref...

@erictwillis @nazarpanchyshyn Seem to be missing this, but what's the difference with the Mac App Store version? (Besides being a version behind :) )
Nazar Begen
@rgoodwin there is no Photolemur 2.0 on the Mac App Store now. Only first version. We plan next big update in a month and after that the new version will appear there

So cool you have versions for Mac and Windows. I’m a travel addicted fellow who wants to capture every bright moment, every centimeter, every smile, and every step. Just imagine the amount of photo I usually make:) So, here is the question, should I drop every single photo in Photolemur? It’ll be time consuming

Yura Krisarchuk
@pavlo_kuznetsov Thank you for your comment! Upload all your photos in bulk. Just on the fly. Besides, Photolemur perfectly deals with landscapes, horizons, and other wonders of nature. It can be a helping hand for those who practice travel photography.
Pavlo Kuznyetsov
@yuriy_krisarchuk It’s cool, I must say. What about a mobile version, any plans?
Yura Krisarchuk
@pavlo_kuznetsov On a way, we’re working on it!=)
Pavlo Kuznyetsov
@yuriy_krisarchuk Awesome Thanks guys, I’ll keep an eye on your updates. One more thing, don’t go nuts if you’ll see a bug report from me. Just kidding.
Yura Krisarchuk
@pavlo_kuznetsov Thanks Pavlo! You can watch our video by the way. It’s here

@graver_ua thanks man!

Photolemur 1.0 which I hunted 10 month ago was already an excellent phototool, but version 2 is even better. Love the new UX and the demise of the subscription thingy. Glad that the Photos extension is still there. Wish I could finetune the settings sometime though and add some of my own I instead of the AI, especially when the enhancement is a just a tiny bit too much.
Yura Krisarchuk
@t55 Probably, there’s no word that can describe how happy we are while reading such warm words. Thanks!
Ton
@yuriy_krisarchuk It's been a joy since the first beta's. The AI part is truly remarkable. Most of the time it's just about perfect.
Yura Krisarchuk
@t55 Thank you!

Trying it out right now. Will it post something online?

@nazarpanchyshyn @yuriy_krisarchuk Congrats guys, looks impressive! What kind of AI/ML techniques do you use? Just wondering

Been using it since beta and the latest update is great. It does a great job on some difficult pics. Their responsiveness to the user base has been great. After a rough period of switching up their pricing model (back and forth between per-seat license and subscription), they did right by the early adopters (I pre-ordered a license during beta) and issued stable licenses once they realized the subscription thing wasn't a good fit. I find myself reaching for PL more often when I would have normally opened Lightroom just to hit the (admittedly quite good) "Auto" buttons. I really appreciate having basically NO options, no sliders, no panels, etc. And the results aren't overdone like a lot of apps. PL tends to just find the right tonal balance for you, without a bunch of fiddling.

Thank you @rickdt for supporting us!

Awesome idea! I've tested Photolemur already and it works perfect for me. Good luck!
Yura Krisarchuk
@plokhoj Thank you for your comments and support. This is what makes us go forward!

Congrats on 2.0, some feedback for ya! Pros: Love the UX treatment when analyzing an image. Batch mode rocks. The resulting image is usually awesome. Improvements: Would love a little tighter integration with icloud/apple photos - like the ability to export directly back into my Photo stream. Would love something to do with Live photos (which is a feature I find myself liking/using more and more).

Probably, one of the most intuitive photo tools I have ever used. It just feels all the flaws and fixes them on the fly.
Yura Krisarchuk
@alex_flom Get big thanks from the Photolemur team!
PleasantLight
Looks very promising. The fact it does batch processing, and that (apparently) the processing is local are both huge pluses. For me it worked fine on photos I took on my iPhone, but what I could really use is help cleaning up old photos, with spots/tears and faded colors. On these photos, there was barely any effect at all.

My experience with Photolemur has been a mixed bag to be honest. It started with some rather questionable moves from the devs when version 2 came out and all early adopters from version 1 were invited to pay again. to my understanding this has been fixed, but there was a time when nobody would answer my emails and everything felt very shady. the results look very good on average with some completely unusable results every now and then. in my experience the green colors are boosted way too much and i miss the feature from version 1 where i could adjust the intensity of the change. very dark regions are often boosted to a point where im just blinded by noise, but this happens in a minority of examples. in general, photolemur will favour a very crisp, dramatic, punchy, highly saturated and overly sharpened style. i think thats what most consumers are going for these days, haha. the processing speed is slow and i hope this can be improved in the future. i just tested it again with 10 images from unsplash and the export took 4min 30sec. its really not an option for photographers to get a correction starting point. they went with a very playful UI design, which many people will love. im not a big fan of the multi window idea and the fact that you cannot resize the window when working with several images is just bonkers to me. i hope that future updates will give optional control over the images.
Yura Krisarchuk
@gopietz Thanks for your feedback! We will improve all things very soon!

Hey guys, thanks for sharing this app with us. It is my first experience with Photolemur (unfortunately didn’t have a chance to use the v1) and overall I enjoyed it a lot. The UI is clean and you really feel some kind of magic is happening while the photos are uploading. The processing speed is not that great tho - after uploading 10 pics at once I had a feeling that was enough magic for me for today. I bet it’s just the beginning and you’ll improve it in the next versions. I like the final result on most of the pics I've uploaded, but won’t lie - there were couple photos I would make final adjustments to manually - would like to have a chance to do it within the app, without help of some other tools. Wish you all the best, will be looking forward to new updates.

This is great! Just tried it with an outdoor photo with lots of faces, sky, trees, colors, and it really does seem to make things more "lifelike" without looking oversaturated or "Instagrammy". I know this is meant to be totally automatic, but I wonder if a single slider might be useful, to increase or decrease the "intensity" of the overall effect? Some other options for comparing before/after (like mouseover or click-and-hold instead of slide), or zooming in on certain areas to examine details, might be useful too.
