These types of tools are getting pretty neat. Turn your camera roll photos into really cool videos and use them in your marketing including with social media.

@hnshah Thank you!

A very slick app, but I really would need (and expected) to be able to sync narration with the photos.
Larry Cornett
@tomsoderlund Thanks for the feedback. We are considering that. We are a bit torn about that feature, though. We want the audio storytelling to flow and sound natural. We've found that people sometimes have a very stilted narration when they are just describing each photo in sequence. But, we do need to experiment with it and see if we can have the best of both worlds. Thanks!

@cornett How about a simplified version of Keynote’s “Record slideshow” - preview the next photo and tap to change, while narrating.
Larry Cornett
@tomsoderlund Yes, that is one option, if people select photos first. But, we do allow people to record a narration first, before selecting photos. We had a linear flow in an earlier version and people didn't like it. It felt artificially forced. We might look into a timeline view where you could adjust the photos and their duration relative to the narration. Lots to experiment with to get it right!

Cool idea! I thought this would be a great tool for startups to use to create app store videos. Speaking of which... How do you guys not have an app store video? :P
Larry Cornett
@daretorant We do have an App Store video. Is it not showing up for you?
Larry Cornett
@daretorant Here is what you should be seeing if you view us in the App Store from your iPhone. https://youtu.be/CqYtvYeP1qg
Larry Cornett
@daretorant Which iPhone model do you have?
Larry Cornett
We're #1 in the App Store for "Pearl" now. Thanks for your support, hunters!

Hi everyone! I'm one of the founders. We hope you'll download our new Pearl app and try it out! :) The concept of Pearl was to make it easy to unlock the power of storytelling by helping you transform photos that you already have stored on your iPhone into narrated videos that can be created and shared in just a few minutes. Our team has been very focused on design, authenticity, and native video sharing. • Pearl has been designed for simplicity and speed, letting you create and share a video on social media in just a few minutes • The primary focus is on authentic storytelling, brought to life by narration in your own voice • Pearl gives you full control over saving and sharing your HD video natively for higher engagement on social media

Similar to what Quick by GoPro does - I really want to test these apps out for my trip I'll download this too so stay tuned for a Bali mashup next week!
Larry Cornett
@bentossell Thanks!

Ups... "Your access to this site has been limited"

@bnoktao You should be able to get the app from the App Store. My website has an aggressive firewall due to a hacking attack yesterday. I dialed things up. Got kind of tired of it.

I had this exact same idea last night thinking that could be a killer app. Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone.
Larry Cornett
@thekarlsen GMTA. :)
Alex Weber
Do you plan on making it available for Android?
Larry Cornett
@lecanardmalade Yes, that's on our longer-term roadmap though
Justin Chung
I love Pearl! The narration feature is what sets it apart from other apps that are trying to do similar things.
Larry Cornett
Thank you @justinjaechung!
