👋 Hey Product Hunt! I found myself spending way too much time browsing the web to find the right component or get design inspiration for my products. There are so many great components out there, but visibility and discoverability is a huge blocker. For example, did you know that React Fast Marquee and React Masonry existed? It was hard to even know WHAT to search if you don't know the terms "marquee" and "masonry". That's why I'm excited to share Patterns with you all. With Patterns, • Compare design systems • See UI/UX standards for basic components • Find the right component for your product We're starting with components from popular libraries, but want to also begin pulling in independent components. - Teddy & Alex

@teddyni Man, this is really cool 😎 any idea for timeline for pulling independent components?
Teddy Ni
@amit_arora thanks for the kind words! definitely within the month! This is a project we plan on maintaining for the long term so im excited to see where it ends up, but am especially excited for independent components!
Johan Steneros
Pretty neat.
Teddy Ni
@jsteneros Thanks Johan! What stood out to you about Patterns?
Samuel Bodin
Oh very nice, I wish I had that when I started building my project!
Teddy Ni
@samdotb So do we! Thats why we built it in the first place 😉 There’s so many component libraries these days but no good way to compare them!
Igor Boky
Really nice tool! How do you manage available style systems? I mean how do you plan to have things simple to find? Congrats on the launch!
Teddy Ni
@igorboky We plan on doubling down on Search — right now it's super rudimentary, but once we get more style systems into our platform, we want to leverage some of the new AI tools to make Search really native and the go-to to finding anything. Have you been using Patterns this week?
Miguel Rasero
Great product @teddynielsen! Really like the idea. Bookmarking it.
Teddy Ni
Thanks Miguel! Have you used Patterns since the launch?
Brandon Fuller
This is amazing! I will definitely be taking a closer look into it.
Teddy Ni
@brandonefuller Thanks Brandon! Did you get a chance to take a closer look? Do you have any feedback for us?

I love how it aggregates components in one searchable site. It's definitely a time-saver when it comes to finding the perfect component for my projects. I'm curious, does Patterns offer any sort of feedback or review system for the components? It would be great to see what other users have to say about their experience using different components. Also, have you considered adding a feature where users can submit their own components to the platform? This could create a vibrant community where users can contribute and share their own UI/UX practices. Looking forward to seeing Patterns in action and exploring all the amazing UI/UX practices it has to offer! Keep up the great work!
Teddy Ni
@moon10 Thanks for the kind words! A review system is a great idea, we'll look into! That idea never crossed our minds, but would be definitely helpful to see the community opinion on these things. We definitely want to enable the community to help crowd source components — we probably will open-source the site so anyone can contribute, but we want to make it easier for non-technical folks as well.

Congrats Teddy & team on the launch!
Teddy Ni
@maxtpham Thanks Max! Has Patterns made it into your workflow?
Frank Sondors
This is a bomb! This will be so cool for our CPO to get his hands dirty with. Bookmarked and upvoted!
Teddy Ni
@franksondors Awesome! Does your CPO help with the design of your product?

Trying to look for swift UI graph components and search doesn’t seem to work.. what am I missing?
Teddy Ni
@itamar_ben_david The components are currently manually curated (we're working on an automated way 😉) and haven't got to Swift UI graph components! We'll definitely add that to our list though!
Royce Branning
The struggle to find the name for components is so real. Add SwiftUI components please!
Lazar Krstić
Launching soon!
It looks very useful, I will reach out to you guys once detachless (the UI library I am building currently) is ready 💪🏻
Teddy Ni
@lazarkrstic Please do! Feel free to shoot me a message on here or on Twitter and we'll get Detachless onto Patterns. Excited to see it!
Ashish Kumar Gopalika
Very useful tool Congratulations 👏
Jacky Pan
I highly recommend using Patterns to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices in product design.
George Fang
Amazing! This will save me a ton of time picking the perfect component
Cole Cable
This looks awesome, congrats on the launch!
Nick from FirstHR
Congrats on the launch! Good luck!
Brandon Strittmatter
What a great idea! I've always loved mobbin, saasinterface, pttrns, etc... but this is so much better because these are real components you can actually use! Nice work team Teddy & Alex!
Samuel
Super cool idea! Excited to try it out!
Jeane Carlos
Congrats on launch! Impressed that these components are actually interactive and looking forward to using some components I find on here.
