Hi Bogomil - thanks for reaching out we do this in a few ways. First we always put the end user in control by giving them the option to withdraw their consent. We also employ strict security access measures among our development team and are currently in the process of SOC2 and ISO27001 monitoring to become certified.
Server-side biometrics seems like an inevitable and perpetual security problem. One leak and that's permanent identity theft for anyone involved. (You can't change your biometrics).

Passbase co-founder here. Almost one year ago we released Passbase on Product Hunt. At that time we raced to help companies that were new to identity verification and were just getting started with it in the face of social distancing.
Receiving the recognition and positive comments from the amazing community here last year, we knew that we were on the right track and that gave us the necessary push to continue pursuing our vision: build the digital trust infrastructure that powers a more human internet.
Today’s launch is a step closer to this vision and we’re excited to launch three features that help make reusable identity more privacy centric, secure and intuitive to use:
- Biometric Authentication for secure logins
- Identity Timeline for access transparency
- Reusable Documents for faster onboarding
We’ve also released a number of improvements to the existing infrastructure and did a major revamp of our API along with launching hyper customizations to make your no-code identity verification management even more robust.

That it has an API, client-side and server-side SDKs and has a product demo I can take for test runs. Was true even a year ago when I first found it!

So who is this product designed for? If companies use it to identify their customers, do the latter need to download it? How will the whole identification process work?

Hi Ruben, thanks for your questions. Passbase is taking care of the initial KYC check.
Once approved, companies can leverage this biometric authentication feature, to authenticate their users again in critical parts of the product.
Like FaceID but baked with a valid KYC check :)
Your landing page is awesome. Brand identity is unusual and fresh. The product is innovative and cool and, which is most important - is needed! Do you have weaknesses?)
Do you have touch id support on apple devices?

Maybe its better to standartize them. It`s a small, but important detail.
