πŸš€ Support us on our current crowdfunding campaign: https://www.indiegogo.com/at/pap... When we sit at our desks, we regularly feel stressed because we have to coordinate our deadlines and tasks. All the information and digital distractions make us feel overwhelmed and unproductive. Analogue and passively visible reminders such as post-it notes help with self-organization, but do not harmonize with our digital tools such as Google Calendar, Outlook, Todoist and others. πŸ’‘ That's why we wanted to combine the best of analog and digital ways of working and developed PaperSync. PaperSync is the first smart e-paper display that brings your digital data from your apps directly to your desk. Once you have connected PaperSync to your favorite services, the information is automatically retrieved and displayed on your PaperSync on a regular basis. With minimalist layouts, PaperSync focuses on the essentials, showing only the most important information without distractions. With the always on display, there is no way to forget and ignore your priorities and deadlines and all your channels are bundled in one place. Thanks to e-paper technology, the display looks and feels like real paper and emits no blue light. You can read the display from any angle and under any sunlight. We are Steffen, Tobias and Andreas: Three friends that share the vision of a smart but functional desk setup. After discussing all the difficulties of self organization, we simply decided to build our own solution.
William Jin
Congrats on launching PaperSync! Can users sync their appointments and tasks from other calendar apps?
Steffen
@william_jin Yes they can! We don't have on 'own' calendar app, we are only using data from other calendar services. Currently Google Calendar, Outlook, Todoist & Apple Calendar is supported by us, but we want to add more services by updates in the future.
RJ Cruz
Hoping to have customizable layouts soon *fingers crossed* Congratulations on the Launch!
Steffen
@rjcruz Will integrate as soon as possible!
Kyrylo Silin
Great job, Steffen, Tobias, and Andreas! PaperSync sounds like a great tool for managing digital overload! How customizable are the layouts and integrations with different apps? Does it support real-time updates, or is there a sync interval?
Steffen
@kyrylosilin Thanks for the feedback, Kyrylo! :) We want to create a focused and minimalistic way of how you can use technology. Therefore we developed a device that is on the one hand really flexible and open, because you can integrate all your favorite apps. On the other hand, the usage and interaction is kinda constrained because we are focusing on the productivity apps which don't distract you. We currently have two layouts in a minimalist design, one for calendar appointments and one for your daily tasks. In the future, we will add new options for layouts through software updates so that you can choose between different designs. Also on our roadmap is a layout editor so that the user can arrange and design the layouts according to their own taste. In addition, we will add integrations for other apps such as note apps, habit tracker etc. Check out my other comment for more details. The sync interval correlates strongly with the battery life, that's why currently we've implemented a sync interval of every 5 minutes to ensure a lifetime of 2-3 days. At which interval do you want to get you data synced?
Kyrylo Silin
@steffento It’s hard to tell without trying the product but 5 mins sounds good for a start. Thanks for the reply!
Steffen
@kyrylosilin Yes, this is also something we still need to figure out with test users. You're welcome!
Aris Nakos

Zenda
I like exquisite electronic products, nice design! It seems that the supported apps are still relatively few at present. I want to know what your next steps are, and whether you are considering opening up an API, so that I can integrate some of the apps I use :)
Steffen
@zenda1122 Thank you! We first focused on the integration of the most-used productivity apps, but we definitely want to add many more! Our vision is to bring your most important information right to your desk, that's why we don't want to limit our product to only a few specific apps. In the future we want to have a integration for almost all productivity apps. This isn't limited to calendar and task apps, we also think about integrating notes apps like Notion or habit tracker apps, pomodoro timer, time boxing etc. But because there are really a lot of different apps to be integrated, we are definitely considering a API where you can integrate the apps you are using :)

Congrats on launching PaperSync! πŸ“ I love the idea of visualizing appointments and tasks physically to balance our digital overload. How customizable are the display settings for different users' needs? Can't wait to see it in action! πŸš€
Steffen
@kehui_guo Thank you so much :) We currently have two layouts in a minimalist design, one for calendar appointments and one for your daily tasks, that you can switch by pressing the button. In the future, we will add new options for layouts through software updates so that you can choose between different designs and layouts Also on our roadmap is a layout editor so that the user can arrange and design the layouts according to their own taste.
