Hey everyone! I'm Pal, the founder of Palform! I'm very excited to share with you this startup I've been working on for the past few months. More and more people are getting worried about their personal data. When filling in a form/survey, it's often completely unclear who handles your info. Sometimes it's there in the Privacy Policy, buried beneath pages of legalese. What if there was a way to stand out to your users as a privacy-respecting organisation? Palform _guarantees_ that your data cannot be intercepted by unexpected third-parties using end-to-end encryption, similar to how WhatsApp or Proton Mail work. All this without comprising on the other features you expect from an enterprise-grade form builder: advanced branching rules, loads of feature-packed question types, and even automated insights into your data. Plus, you can fine-tune the design to perfectly match your brand. And did i mention: it's completely no-code! That's right; you don't even need to know what end-to-end encryption is to use Palform. It's meant to be effortless, so there's a minimal learning curve, even when coming from the simplest tools like Google Forms. The best part: our pricing is super friendly! On top of a generous free-forever plan, we provide advanced features for less than our competitors, and you can always cancel or update your plan without obstacles. More features are always being added, as documented in our roadmap: https://palform.app/support/roadmap

@palkerecs Congratulations on launching Palform! Prioritizing privacy with end-to-end encrypted responses is a much-needed feature in today’s digital landscape. The combination of meaningful data collection with strong privacy measures makes Palform an outstanding ethical alternative to traditional forms.

Congratulations, Pal, on launching Palform! It’s so refreshing to see a product that prioritizes user privacy while still delivering powerful features for data collection. The end-to-end encryption is a game-changer, especially in a time when data handling by companies is under scrutiny. I love that you’ve made it no-code; this will definitely lower the barrier for many users. Advanced branching and a variety of question types combined with an ethical approach to privacy is a sweet spot! Plus, the free-forever plan is a great way to attract early adopters. Can't wait to explore the roadmap and see what new features you roll out next! For anyone looking for a reliable alternative to traditional form builders, Palform is definitely worth an Upvote!

Hey Pal, I'm interested in how you balance security with usability. Do you offer any features to help users understand the collected data, like analytics or visualizations, while still maintaining the encryption? How does Palform handle form submissions that might contain sensitive information like financial data? Congrats on the launch!
Pal Kerecsenyi
@kyrylosilin thanks for the comment! In terms of analytics, that's a great question, and something that's been a real challenge when developing Palform. To perform any meaningful analysis, we need to download all responses to the client's browser — using our caching system, this has scaled really well in our benchmarks. So now we automatically generate user-friendly graphs for all questions, and perform on-the-fly analysis (such as spotting tightly-correlated questions) with plain-English summaries. We're planning on extending this further with more complex stats in the future. In terms of sensitive information, this is a particular unique strong point of Palform. We can effectively guarantee that only the intended organisation will see a user's sensitive info, massively reducing the risk of a data breach when compared to other tools that only perform at-rest encryption. And the fact that we do this without over-complicating the UX makes it a no-brainer for orgs such as financial or medical institutions to switch to our platform. Hope that helps!

This sounds really promising, Pal! I'm curious about the trade-offs between usability and security. With advanced features like branching rules, how does Palform maintain a user-friendly experience without overwhelming users? Also, do you have any KPIs on how end-users have reacted to the privacy aspects so far?
Pal Kerecsenyi
@ezshine hi, thanks for the comment! Palform uses a really clear UI similar to existing tools that many users are likely to be familiar with (e.g. Google Forms). This way, a lot of the privacy features run in the background without much involvement from the end-user — so essentially, you get better security while using a familiar UI. We've tried to set branching rules out in a simple way too; all you need to set up a rule is to answer a few plain-English questions in a modal, and it's done! At the moment, it's quite a new product so we haven't amassed enough users to do extensive research, but we're hoping to get some metrics once we have enough engagement! Hope this helps :)

Congratulations on the launch @palkerecs! Love the focus on user privacy and impressive set of features! Quick question- does Palform allow forms to be embedded on a website?
Pal Kerecsenyi
@aniruddha_j Thanks for the comment, that's a great question! Unfortunately, we don't support embeds quite yet, as we wanted to make this feature really smooth and tested before we rolled it out. We want to support multiple versatile embed scenario (e.g. a popup asking the user a single question "How are you finding the website?"). This is definitely a priority for us (see our roadmap: https://palform.app/support/road...) and will hopefully be coming in the next few weeks!

I love security and encryption, so always excited to see another e2e product. I had been considering building something in this space for a while before going in a different direction. Why forms, though?
Pal Kerecsenyi
@jack_michalak Hey, thanks for the comment! That's interesting to hear — we targetted forms since it's an area where we think users aren't fully aware of where their data is going. It's a big thing in the industry to have forms with as much branding and personalisation as possible, so that they "look" like the organisation made and hosts them, and that there's no actual intermediary. However, that's obviously not the case, and commercial form builders aren't always super clear on their data handling practices. Responses might pass through multiple third parties before reaching the organisation! We've seen companies use forms to collect all sorts of extremely sensitive data — e.g. things like medical records, where leaking the info to _any_ third party is a completely unacceptable risk. Palform aims to raise awareness of this problem and to ensure users don't have to tolerate having their data thrown around with little visibility. It's essentially a guarantee of trust for the most sensitive data, allowing the end-users to be more confident and relaxed sharing it. Hope that makes sense!

Sounds very promising! Looking forward to trying it out. Congratulations on the launch!

Chandrshekhar Rawan
The emphasis on privacy is commendable, but how does the tool ensure that it also delivers meaningful and actionable data?
Pal Kerecsenyi
@chandrshekhar_rawan hi, thanks for the comment! We've currently got some pretty graphs being generated for your responses, with the exact graph depending on each question type. These are meant to look nice and be easily understood by everyone without expertise. They're also easy to download and share! We've also added some analytics such as correlation analysis, showing which pairs of questions have the most related answers. This is something that's immediately actionable and shows clear patterns with essentially zero effort from the user! Plus, we're hoping to build on these features and add even more analytics, as shown in our roadmap.

Congratulations on the launch! Since nowadays all users are very careful and sensitive about data, I am interested how do you manage and process the data after it’s been collected?

Hey Pal, this sounds really promising! The focus on privacy is such a crucial factor, especially with the increasing concerns around data protection. I'm curious, though—how do the branching rules and question types compare with those of established competitors in the market? Are there any specific use cases where the end-to-end encryption really shines, especially in industries that heavily rely on data security? Looking forward to hearing more about how Palform can help organizations stand out as privacy-first! 🚀
