I saw a promo a while back and was utterly impressed by this product.

Pros:

Benchmarking, KPI focus, UI

Cons:

API integration

Iris Shoor
Thanks a lot, @danjas ! πŸ˜ƒ API integration is one of the next features on the list. Currently, we only support integrating custom events from Google, and of course Facebook. πŸš€

I have been following @iris_shoor work from last 3 years. What an amazing team it is. Looking forward to work with Oribi as we are also trying to simplify analytics at Cloudways. We are currently using Power BI and creating custom dashboard to calculate different metrics.
Iris Shoor
Thanks so much for your feedback, @invinciblesaad ! Power BI is focused on visualizing your data. We do offer a feature - Reports - that visualizes your most important data to share. However, Oribi's focus is one step before that: Analyzing data and finding insights to know where to focus on. Can't wait to hear your feedback πŸ˜ƒ
Ofir Beigel
Very sleek! Love the design, looks promising.

@kobaiko Thank you so much for the love! And I can't say I disagree, nobody thinks more highly of my team than myself πŸ˜‰

First impression, I like it! @iris_shoor site is not HTTPS ;)
Alon Keren
@hiddenpearls Hmm you sure about that? It is from my browser. πŸ˜•
Sara Nelissen
@hiddenpearls Also from my browser - both through desktop and mobile πŸ˜ƒ
Ktryn Dchrs
Personally, I think there are not enough visuals about the product on the website πŸ˜•
Sara Nelissen
@katrynvonfelsen - thanks for the feedback. We've been making lots of updates and launched new features lately. That's why our website is more focused on the value rather than actual screenshots. Will update it soon πŸ‘
Lilach Bullock
This is exactly what I needed! Love the interface and the focus on conversions

Trying to go head to head with a Giant as Google with deep pockets and its strategic need to produce and give away the best analytics software it can be made, without caring how much money it plunges into it, it not a very wise business decision. Google business model requires to be gather and process much data as it can from customers (business and individuals) and β€œpublications” to power its real business, advertising and the relevance of results in its search engine and as a "side product" be the biggest digital media broker (knowledge is power) in the world. To achieve those goals they need to produce the best analytics software money can pay and encourage everyone to use it by giving it for free. So your business model can only have two rational two explanations: i) The hope of landing a job with Google directly or through an unlikely acquihire or ii) just naivety. If there is a need (market) for whatever you do, Google can replicate and improve on it and price out you out of the market. Think that business wise your revenues are already capped, if they go above a threshold, Google will offer it for free, if it does not that is your cap (maximum revenue/growth). You are in a tunnel you have to grow enough to make money but not too much to be noticed or you will get a 0 payout.
Iris Shoor
Thanks for sharing your opinion, @abetancort We're not aiming to go head to head with Google. We do, however, see the need of many smaller companies to get more out of their website data. Agreed, there's barely anything you can't do with Google Analytics. But it requires its users to have a deep technological and analytical knowledge, and have enough time to find the right insights - or, to hire people for the job. Either way, this can easily get very time and cost intensive - time and money that smaller companies usually don't have. As a result, many companies stay only at the surface of tools like Google Analytics and therefore never fully leverage their data. This is why we built Oribi - a tool that is easy to use, makes its users independent of developers and analysts, is fast and flexible, and, thanks to its smart algorithm, points out which data to focus on and which insights to act on. I'd love for you to give Oribi a try and see for yourself πŸ˜ƒ
Orian Tal
Hmm interesting. Definitely going to give this a spin.
Sara Nelissen
@orian_tal See you at Oribi, @orian_tal 😊 Let us know what you think!
Ben Jacobson
Love the way this platform identifies "events" it thinks are worthy of tracking and suggests them in the dashboard. Muuuch more straightforward than Google Analytics in that regard, and without too many compromises.
Iris Shoor
Thanks for the feedback, @osbennn ! That's our starting point. As the need for data-informed decisions increases, web analytics needs to become much easier, more clever and way more agile. Happy to hear you're finding that in Oribi πŸ™
Duarte Martins
Could you make a free version for personal websites and side projects just starting out?
Sara Nelissen
Hi @duarteosrm πŸ‘‹ I totally understand your request. We currently don't offer any free version, other than the free trial. However, how about you give Oribi a try, see how it helps you for Noo Coffee and we'll discuss what we can do in your specific case, then?
Dmitry A.
Hello to Oribi team πŸ‘‹ Very promising project. I was looking through the website and google search but haven't found details about: - How do you treat DNT ("Do Not Track") signals? - GDPR compliance - How and what data is collected, data transparency? - How tracking all user's action affects website performance CPU and RAM overhead, does it affect FPS?
Natasha Cherniavsky
Hi @dr_dimitru! We value your privacy and the privacy of your website visitors, and we make sure that you can serve all your customers worry-free. Oribi collects only aggregated, fully anonymous data. We do not save any personal data, such as email addresses or exact locations of your visitors. Visitors in the Visitor Journeys are displayed with an automatically assigned number. That being said, no information can be connected to a specific individual. Please note that you can also exclude specific IP addresses. In this case, Oribi will not track any action of this visitor at all. Currently, and similarily to many companies, we take no special consideration of the proposed DNT header as there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal. Regarding website performance, Oribi's tracking code will not affect your site's performance or loading time. We achieve this by loading our script asynchronously (i.e. our script only starts when your site finishes loading). Our script is minimal in size β€” 29kb to be precise. Hope these answers are satisfactory and you'll give Oribi a try! πŸ˜ƒ
Eden Cohen
Hi @dr_dimitru πŸ‘‹ As being part of the R&D team I would love to elaborate on the technical parts of your question. β€’ Site Performance - we took it pretty seriously, our tracking code script is minimal ~29kb, and loaded asynchronously, so it shouldn't affect the loading time of your page, also the script CPU/RAM usage is minimal so FPS should not be affected, this is because the heavy processing is done in our backend servers (we also monitor the cpu usage of our script on the customer site to make sure were invisible) β€’ Data collection - we automatically track every button click and page visit, there is an option to track GA/FB events as well, we do not track any passwords/payments data and we do not save your visitors ip/email. β€’ Data transparency - the data is securely saved under AWS servers, we can delete the data upon request.
Dmitry A.
@eden_cohen & @natasha_cherniavsky thank you both for the quick reply. Asking about "data transparency" - I meant an actual list of data being collected, processed, and/or stored by tracking code and its backend β€” it's a part of GDPR recommendations. As US company you don't have to follow GDPR, but at the same time you're offering your service worldwide, so do you have a page or document where you provide data transparency following GDPR guidelines? Using analytics on my website I have to leave a link to your GDPR compliance, and explain how users can opt-out. Do you use any other 3rd party service providers except AWS, if yes how? Where all 3rd party providers are listed? And the most important question β€” "How may I opt-out as the end user?"
Dmitry A.
@natasha_cherniavsky respecting DNT signals is the simplest way to opt-out for end users and for you as for developers/legal department. Implementing DNT as easy as reading one request header.
Iris Shoor
Thanks for your interest, @dr_dimitru ! πŸ˜ƒ We're collecting referring channel, country and platforms about fully anonymous visitors. Nothing to connect with an individual. We currently don't have a dedicated page, but these information can be found in the FAQs in our Help Center. We're currently working on the best way for users to opt-out and will keep you posted. Regarding DNT, implementation is not an issue as you said, however, the purpose of this header and the appropriate way to handle it by 3rd party services is still not fully finalized and we’re waiting for a more conclusive standard before implementing it.

Making analytics simple is an audacious goal πŸ’ͺ, good luck!
Sara Nelissen
Thanks for the support, @dilan ✌

Nice tool, but very expensive for what it is... Not startup friendly at all.
Itai Elizur

Seems like they are on the right path - Seems like a great tool for noobs :)

Pros:

Thanks to the Insights & Health Check I have a quick daily brief of anything I should look into.

Cons:

Tool uses First Touch attribution model. And while this is surely more insightful than Last Touch, I’d love to see the full funnel.

Sara Nelissen
Thanks @itaielizur πŸ™ Insights & Health Check are our newest feature and clearly one of the strongest to help you focus on the most important information in your data. We've decided to start with the First Touch attribution model - but will introduce a much more in-depth attribution feature in the next few weeks. You'll then be able to see the full split of Single Touch, as well as all channels for Multiple Touch (First Touch, Assisting Channels and Last Touch, including the percentages of each channel). In addition to that, you'll also get a detailed overview of how much each channel attributes to all your conversion goals to determine the value of your customers' touch points.

SMWriting
Oribi is a great tool! If you want a simple solution to track conversions on your site you should try it out. It is much easier to use than Google Analytics.
Sara Nelissen
You rock, @smwriting ✌ Thanks for the love!
Iris Shoor
Thanks, @benln , for hunting this! πŸ™ We're excited to be shared on Product Hunt as our goal is to help startups and SMBs make sense of their website analytics. If you're wondering what Oribi is all about, let me introduce us: I'm Iris, the founder of Oribi. After founding two successful startups, I've decided to tackle one of the biggest pains of marketing today: Making web analytics easy and accessible for everyone. There’s no question about the importance of web analytics to get the most out of your online efforts. But there’s no real solution out there for SMBs, yet. Most tools require developers to get started, analysts to find meaningful insights – or simply take lots of your time to sort through piles of data. This is where Oribi started πŸš€ . We’ve built a tool that is as flexible and quick as you need to be, full of actionable insights and with all the features you need to analyze and improve your online efforts: Marketing Channel Analysis, Button Performance, Landing Page Tracking, Individual Visitor Journeys, Event Correlations, Smart Funnels, Health Check, Reports, and much more. Feel free to check out Oribi. I'd love to hear what you think. πŸ™‚
Itai Elizur
@iris_shoor love the tool - Are you thinking of developing more tools for less "data savvy" users or build Oribi up as a go to for all kind of people interested in web analytics?
Iris Shoor
@itaielizur thanks for the love! I've always believed that the best tools are the ones that are simple. For now, we're all dedicated in tackling the complex field of web analytics with Oribi to make it accessible for all kinds of people - the ones that consider themselves less data savvy as well as the ones that know their way around but just want to save the time it takes to sift through all that data yourself. There are plenty of more features to come soon πŸš€
Itai Elizur
@iris_shoor got it! Does Oribi offer any "context"? As in, tips on things people should do in their specif sites according to the data you see?
Iris Shoor
@itaielizur Yes, we've put a lot of brain into this, to help users be guided by their data - without starting to freely interpret πŸ˜‰ Oribi highlights any context that might influence your site's traffic and conversions, such as new pages and buttons, weekends and holidays in the countries your site gets traffic from. And our Insights & Health Check feature is exactly serving that need of understanding your data, as well. This feature points out trends in your site's traffic, visitors' demographics and usage behavior and conversion goals. It also explains why changes happened, e.g. a peak in a specific conversion might be closely connected to a peak in your overall traffic or a new button that is well positioned on your site. And Oribi highlights how to optimize your online efforts, such as how many times a visitor returns before converting and if retargeting is important for your marketing strategy, which marketing channels perform best for different actions, which content has the biggest impact on your conversions, etc.

@benln @iris_shoor Have requested for demo. Lets see. Few thoughts if you are planning to B2B sales : a) Target recently funded start-ups. Since they have money in their bank accounts, they are now going to spend money to buy softwares which can help them with analytics. So best time to reach out to them. b) Target companies which are hiring for product marketing manager, data analytics. Since they are hiring for product and analytics, it makes sense for them to use your product because it means they are willing to spend money on analytics. c) Using Easyleadz.com, you can target all E-commerce companies.
