Hey Product Hunt! 👋 My name is Justin Hunter, and I'm one of the co-creators of Orbiter.
We built Orbiter because web hosting has gotten too complex. While frameworks and hosting providers move further and further toward server-first implementations, we think there's still a huge market for static sites and hosting for those static sites.
The product builds on my experience and Steve's experience working on Pinata where we manage file storage for hundreds of thousands of customers. Through that work, we saw an opportunity in the market and realized we both had this need personally—simple static site hosting.
With the rise of AI making it possible for anyone to create a website, simple hosting is increasingly important. We want you to drag and drop a folder and have a site up and running in seconds. That's exactly what Orbiter does.
I hope you'll give it a shot, and please ask questions! Happy to dive into the technical details because there are some very interesting things we've done behind the scenes.

Thanks for the note. I think you'd appreciate the underlying tech powering this behind the scenes. Every site is backed by its own smart contract with IPFS mappings to the site's content.

In a world where everything needs to be a microservice, serverless, and hyperscale for the theoretical 10M users all just to stand up simple static sites - this is very nice to see. Congrats on launch!

I am using some basic hosting services before, but the simplicity of this one really stands out much quicker than most alternatives
