I was really looking forward to use ohsnap - but after attaching it I recognized I can't turn the ring at all. I could live with the added weight and also with not being able to use wireless charging anymore... but that's really disappointing.
Brilliant idea, bad implementation, non-existent CS. I have been a long time Loopy case user, it works great but the downside was the added bulk, so when i saw Ohsnap I thought I can have a loop with minimal bulk. HOWEVER, the loop will not flatten back out and it sticks out (as another one has mentioned here). And apparently, in order to "flatten it out" you have to use two fingers and press it in, its hard work. I contacted CS as i did not know if my ohsnap was faulty, their response was a link to a how to use it video and ghosting after that. Disappointing experience.
Bought 2 on Kickstarter and 1 had issues right away. Sent an email to support for a replacement and received it promptly. The replacement broke after first use and soon after that my 2nd grip started having issues. Received 2 replacements and so far they're working as advertised and I'm happy with them. The quality of the materials and build of the grip in all the units I received are slightly different, though. When they work, they're great and has everything I needed and more. But the products are consistently showing quality control issues which need to be dealt with. So do I recommend this product? At the moment, no. But once they iron out the kinks, this has the potential to be one of the best phone grips.
Awesome idea but product is not up to scratch. The grip breaks within a week and because I'm from NZ they won't replace the product... also waited months for the product to arrive 😬
Don't buy these. They suck really bad. I wish I could return the 4 that I bought. 80+ dollars for a piece of shit. Should have been called "Ohshit! The phone grip that sucks!"
Like many have stated-great idea, awful delivery.
Ordered 2, 1 arrived broken, 2nd broke after a week's use.
They didn't offer a replacement/reimbursement, but a mere 20% discount on their 2nd version (fyi their FB ad already provides 15%)
I ordered 2 of the new product, hoping they fixed what was wrong with the first. But same awful company - they promised (by email) it would arrive before a set date (I didn't want to buy something else interim), but two months have passed since. And all I get from CS is a generic email.
Ohsnap goes on my top 10 list of worst companies. Moreover, I am now convinced they are not entrepreneurs, but "entre-stealers."
my ohsnap has been absolutely incredible. I have been using it for months now, and have no issues with it. Wireless charging works great on my iPhone with a case on it, and all other functions work as promised. Well worth the investment
They show the magic of it being able to charge wirelessly by popping out the snap. This was key for me - but it turns out that it can only do this if you DO NOT have any kind of a case. So you then have to choose between protecting your phone with a case (important for me), or giving up wireless charging if you want to use the Ohsnap. No thank you - I just wish I knew that before I bought them.
Had it for a few months and really liked it. Was very careful to follow their instructions on how to care for it (not snapping it open and closed all the time and being careful not to bump it around when in the ring form). But unfortunately it’s breaking. I can still get it to lay down but it takes a lot more finessing than before and I can feel the difference in it from yesterday to today. Something has broken. I’m bummed. It’s perfect otherwise. I thought for sure I could make it last if I was careful. ☹️
The magnet needs to be stronger. If not perfectly aligned with the proprietary OhSnap plate the phone will slip and fall. Have to replace my phone now due to so many drops using the OhSnap.
Garbage company. Garbage customer service. Refusal to compensate it's backers and customers when their product breaks. Charging 30+ for a crap design and giving its customers SOL replies. Please.. DO NOT support this garbage company.
@marc_b2 yeah, you aren't kidding. I bought 4, one broke after a few days and the second one feels like it is a few snaps away from breaking as well. Such a great idea, but such a disappointment.
