Hi Product Hunters! I’m the founder of Official, an app built to help couples have better relationships. Online dating is more popular than ever. Over 40% of heterosexual and 60% of homosexual relationships begin online, resulting in a $5B dating app industry within the USA. Yet, that’s nothing compared to the rest of the dating market. Gen-Z alone spent over $11B going on dates in 2019. It’s estimated that the average American will spend almost the same amount on college as they will on dating in their lifetime ($121k). That’s why Official is here. We recognize the importance of dating and relationships, and while there are plenty of platforms out there that help someone find a partner, there are none that help a couple stay together. So, how do we do it? Well, it starts when a couple makes their relationship Official (on the app, it’s up to them to have the awkward “what are we” convo). @zacstern that's interesting. So, you mostly grew organically. Or you had any promo campaign in target countries? The point is that we're working on social discovery app & trying to figure out financial model. If it's not sensitive information. it would be great if you can share your customer acquisition cost. @yaroslava We did both organic and influencer campaigns on Tiktok, but what really helped us grow was our organic content. Our CAC is <$1 when we do social content typically.

Why do you need a phone number to sign up?

@drewbkoch Because we link your account to your partners by using your phone number, this allows us to sync accounts in a way that would not be possible with email alone
