Octopus is built for pros by pros. The idea was born in our digital agency with a 17-year experience in building Enterprise products. We found that prototyping and project management were major bottlenecks in the production flow and came up with the solution.

The Octopus 2.0 release focuses on teams and collaboration. While keeping the UX lightweight and simple, we wanted to streamline the production flow for everyone involved in web and app development. Here’s what we added: - Real-time collaboration for teams to let everyone easily catch up with updates. - Switching between sitemap and app structure views to better convey the type of product you’re building. - Unlimited site or app sections allowing you to have as much branching as you want. - Improved content blocks functionality to further enhance your prototyping. - All-round drag-and-drop for pages and content blocks to help you focus on your project, not swapping things around. - Intuitive project timeline and cost estimation to better strategize your project development. - PDF and PNG export paired with whitelabeling to prepare business proposals and offline docs. - Notes and Comments functionality to outline page content right in a sitemap and improve your team communication. - Importing images: you can now add JPEG and PNG page covers right in your sitemap to improve your workflow with design teams or clients. - Hi-contrast Dark Theme, for night-shifts and simply because it’s awesome 🚀 We stick with ProductHunt for our releases, value the hunters’ feedback, and want to give back to the community. 👉 Activate the PRODUCTHUNT promo code before Dec. 23 2019 to get the 2-month 50% discount on PRO plan.

I manage a 12-person web development agency. This solution works very well for our early planning phases and gives us a visual way to plan according to our process, which is: Sitemap > Estimate > Page Content Sections > Design. We adopted it as soon as we found it and have been very happy with it. It's also helped me to be more realistic with estimating projects. I create one sitemap for the estimate and the sections are used to identify specific functionality, custom design work, and copywriting on a page by page basis. I think this makes it more accurate and I'm less likely to leave something out. Keep up the good work!!
