I love it and have already bumped into the edge cases that don't work yet (like sending and then quickly archiving). Reported it and interesting to see how quickly the team responds and fixes. We looked at using the Nylas engine (which powers N1) and were really impressed with Michael and the team so optimistic :)
Actually giving N1 a chance. Few bugs arose, some of them are critical for UX (for example, inability to add more then 1 account and mail archive not loading properly), but I hope this is the side-effect of launch and everything will become stable soon. I love the concept and this piece of software IMHO can potentially be the new Sparrow in terms of fresh and powerful approach (not in terms of selling to Google I hope).
does not seem to work for me. updated: works now. looks nice, but as nice as it looks i am not ready to compromise my current gmail configuration and N1 does not have all the bells i require from the default gmail interface (not mentioning all the plug ins but i am sure some will come later)
This looks great, but in order to not run your email over them you should configure it yourself. However, there is no documentation and the link to configuring it yourself, doesn't point to the right documentation either ((and I couldn't find it either).
Plus, am I the only one that think that Atom (and everything related to Chrome) is just a resource hog?
I downloaded this today. Took a bit of time to sync up with email, but once it was ready I was definitely intrigued by the UI / UX. Just two things needed to make this a spectacular app. (1) Signature support (2) PGP Encryption. I am guessing since it is open source we won't have to wait too long. Otherwise, very clean and easy to use.
Just started using this today and I love it. Lightweight yet full of features. Beats the hell out of clunky Outlook. I prefer browser based clients like Gmail, but this is the only solid solution I've found for easily accessing one of my Exchange accounts.
Edit: I have to update my review here because these guys are awesome, but the software is really buggy and I've never seen software spit out so many error messages. Can't get a response from support either. I have no doubt they'll perfect this down the road, but I can't rely on this for business emails right now. Really a bummer.
If you want countless headaches, then this is the email client for you! I've had this set up perfectly and they go and break it about 5x/yr. They've wasted so much of my time. Good luck getting help from their support team.
So sad Snooze is not in the free version. :( Can't use Exchange either. $12/month is a bit pricey I think... especially when a similar competitor like Newton is going to be $50/year.
