Hey everyone 😸 This is Raz and today I'm excited to announce the official launch of Notocat with you all! A lot of coffee beans have been sacrificed to get to this stage, so get ready, this is going to be a good one 😼 Before starting to work on the product I was looking to improve the writing experience of my other product's newsletter. Every time I needed to communicate with my subscribers I had to do way too many things to make sure the emails would send nicely. So then I built a Notion to Email HTML parser so I could at least write my newsletter in a much more excellent editor. And that's how Notocat came to be. It started with the Notion parser, but now it has become a full-on Newsletter product where you can write in Notion, then customize and send with Notocat. So what's Notocat? Write in Notion - No need to look around for a better editor, Notion already handles this super nicely. More pluses if you already use Notion in your daily processes Branding and customization - Brand your newsletters and customize your issues on top of Notion's styling in just a few clicks Open & Click tracking - Inspect the issues you send to your subscribers and see detailed analytics on how your subscribers interacted with the emails Custom domains - Add and send from your domains so your subscribers recognize you right away Custom subscribe forms - Create beautiful subscribe forms and let your readers join your lists. Fully customizable and embeddable as well API access for syncing contacts - You can plug in your existing applications to automatically manage your subscribers. For example, you can add a subscriber when a user signs up for your app. Best in class deliverability - We use one of the best email services for sending your emails Coming soon: Scheduled sending - Select any time and date for your issues to be sent. Notion integration with the Calendar view coming soon too! Publication site - Soon, you'll be able to generate a publication site and all your newsletter issues will be added to the archive so you can boost your SEO and your readers can read past issues If this sounds like something that you can use and benefit from, don't hesitate to give it a try! Use code PH20OFF for a lifetime 20% discount and enjoy the simplified way of sending and growing your newsletters. I'll be around in the comments, feel free to ask any questions ✌️

Hi @razvanilin - probably the most interesting product I landed on today. My team has like 3 newsletters, one being managed on a partner portal, one via intercom, and one on substrack. So I definitely get the value of the product. Few points of feedback - Home page (website) mentions analytics, would be good to show a screenshot of what type of analytics (for folks like me, who've moved away from a getrevue due to analytics - it's key before I'd setup). For newsletter communities like Substrack, the community feeds off each other, do you have such intentions with your product? And lastly - super cute pricing calculator slider! Congrats on the launch & all the best!
Razvan Ilin
@neilroy91 Hey Neil! Your feedback is greatly appreciated and also many thanks for describing your use case. Super helpful πŸ™Œ I'll make sure to add more details about the analytics part because that's something I'm actually super passionate about too. For now, we have the standard opens, bounce, complaints, link tracking, email clients used, and platforms where users come from. We will soon add a link click count for each individual link, subscribe form conversion rates and more details about unsubscribe stats to see where users drop from. Regarding the community point of view, yes, we plan to work towards this! The next big item on the list is to offer the option for users to create their publication sites, the same as Substack does. Once that's in place, the next step will be to try and drive as much traffic to all the publications on our platform so it becomes a space for exploration for visitors. Lots of exciting things ahead πŸš€ Let me know if I can provide any specific info about other parts of the platform ✌️

🧐 Good find
Beautifully designed and simple to use! I'm a big fan of Notion tools for SaaS products, and now I can send my newsletters in Notion! The best part is that it's super easy to get another team member to write the content because Notion is so simple to use. Great work Raz, can't wait to see this product evolve!
Razvan Ilin
@dinkydani21 Thanks Danielle! 😻 Eagerly waiting for your feedback after you send your first newsletters πŸ’Œ
Pierre-Gilles
Great product, well executed by @razvanilin ! The UI is super clean, I just love those gorgeous cat icons 😍
Razvan Ilin
@pierregillesl Thanks Pierre! More cat material is on the way 😻

Notocat certainly seems impressive. At present, I'm utilizing Substack. Could you elaborate on how Notocat stands out when compared to Substack?
Razvan Ilin
@andrew_laurentiu Thanks Andrew! There are a few differences at the moment between the two platforms. The most notable one is that Notocat lets you use Notion to write newsletter issues. Notocat is more aimed to SaaS business and it offers an API for automatic subscriber syncing. The good thing about Substack is that they let viewers see your previous issues and that's something we're still working on at Notocat. Also, Substack allows newsletter monetization, which is not something we offer with Notocat. Hope this answers your question, but please let me know if I can clarify any specific points ✌️

Congrats on the launch and thanks!! I've been running my newsletter on a few platforms earlier and they were either lacking customisation or required copying for each edition + uploading images and adding new content was a pain for each edition, and I kept my content in Notion... Excited to try!
Razvan Ilin
@maxslch Thanks Max 😻 Glad to hear we struck a chord there with Notion. Let me know when give it a try and I'll happily help with the setup if needed πŸ™Œ
Robin Singhvi
Hey guys! This looks cool. I'm using Substack right now though. What would you say are the benefits of Notocat vis-a-vis Substack or perhaps Beehiiv? And how easy/hard would the migration and learning curve be? Only asking because as a solo-founder, I really need to be able to optimize my time and switching costs are *real*!! But it definitely does look cool and i'm bookmarking it to when I start a new newsletter or am ready to move :) πŸ‘ @razvanilin @kotchanipha_pk πŸ‘
Razvan Ilin
@kotchanipha_pk @robinsinghvi Hey Robin, thanks for dropping by πŸ‘‹ Notocat is indeed in the same space as Substack and Beehiiv. I'd say the biggest advantage of Notocat at the moment is the ability to keep and write the newsletter issues in Notion. One other aspect that I built as part of the platform is to easily plug in multiple newsletters in the same account. Perfect for SaaS owners with multiple businesses. Also, unlike Substack, Notocat has an open API that can be used to automate things like users signing up for your product and want to add them automatically to a newsletter. On the disadvantages side, Notocat does not yet have a publication site where viewers can browse past issues. This is something we are currently working on and will be available soon though. We will also create guides for migrations very soon. It will be possible to export subscribers as a CSV from the other services and then upload this to Notocat (not available just yet) If you have some features that are valuable for your business, please let me know. I'm still at the exploration stage so would like to hear how I can make the platform more valuable for users ✌️

Brittany Joiner {Britt the Builder}
This is actually pretty cool - I was looking for a tool recently that let me create newsletters in notion and send them and found some options, but nothing i particularly loved. This looks promising! Congrats on the launch!
Razvan Ilin
@britt_joiner Thank you Brittany! 😻 Let me know if you give it a try and if I can help with anything ✌️
Mehdi Baneshi
Similar to many individuals, I also hold an affinity for Notion. Furthermore, I am an avid proponent of constructing products atop platforms for various compelling reasons. Allow me to extend my congratulations on the recent launch, and I wish you fruitful endeavors in your pursuits.
Razvan Ilin
@mbaneshi Thank you Mehdi! πŸ™Œ
Warda Bukhari
Hi @razvanilin Such a cool idea! I am a fan of notion myself, so I would definitely try this out. Will Notocat also add expand to new features supporting notion? Or is this limited to publication and newsletter? Congratulations of the launch! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
Razvan Ilin
@warda_bukhari1 Hey Warda πŸ‘‹ We plan to expand the support for Notion for sure. The first thing on the list now is to allow email scheduling through a calendar view from the template. Open to new ideas, though, so if you give it a try please let us know what integration feature would work best for your use-case 😁

I had no idea I wanted to run my mailing list out of Notion until today! Very cool idea. Definitely feels valuable to add a tool for a team to use inside of a tool they're already using every day. Excited to test this out!
