Except the notes aren't editable, which makes it close to useless.

Is it indexed by search engine???

Nice and easy. Almost on the lines of pastebin but much better

You should make it 'mobile app capable' so we can add it to the home screen and it'll look like an app :) https://developers.google.com/we...

This is simply amazing. Super impressed at the minimalism.

I think being able to edit notes should be a must. Also, I upgraded to Pro for password protection and to just contribute but now I'm locked out even though I'm entering the correct password (using LastPass).. there is also no error message so I have no idea why its' not working, probably some bug in your backend.

@hanothan Hey Han, this should definitely be working now! πŸ™Œ

Love the simplicity but found the experience a bit strange when it creates a "new" note every time I just want to make an edit. Is that the correct logic? @leafbomb

@davidsfeng @leafbomb it's a mere digital ocean droplet that probably got a lot of hits in a day..

Hey ProductHunt! πŸ‘‹ Notepin is the first web app of mine as part of a 6 Web Apps in 12 Months challenge (inspired by @levelsio). A problem with the majority of note-taking apps out there are that they require excessive effort to get going, including email verifications and passwords, and can be hard to maintain when your notebook gets too big. I tried to fix that by simplifying the process of getting to the note-taking stage. It is a minimalist note-taking app that lets anyone create their own notebook in less than a second - without having to sign up. Each notebook has its own custom URL so you can access it from any device. You can create as many as you want for different themes or share a collaborative notebook with others. It is extremely lightweight and features a beautiful editor to help you write in a distraction-free environment. I would love to hear your thoughts on it!

@leafbomb You are **absolutely** right to create this. Apple notes is pretty sweet for its simplicity, but impossible to collaborate with non iOS users. Is there a way to share these notes with others? Thanks again-- I'm really excited to see a simple note-taking app. Thanks for hunting, @ambonium! :)

Pros:

I love just how simple it is to setup. Works straight outta the box. Minimal, clean, and actually distraction-free.

Cons:

Would love to host a blog using Notepin though.

Notepin is the simplest way I've come across to maintain notebooks online. I've been working with @leafbomb from the past few days and just love the simplicity of his work, he's just 17!

The organization of notes (List, Folders, Search) is not made easier, it just has been transferred to the browser (bookmarks). For simples note-taking I'll go with SimpleNote.

I love the signup flow in this, more apps should use this. I also love how it works on mobile, I've been looking for a simple note-taking app that works on web and mobile to replace Google Keep. This might just be it.

I like simple B/W products. This is cool. If not a secret... What software did you use to create the gif icon ?

I was in search for such an app. Loved it.😍😍 Great work @leafbomb ✌️

Looks cool! Just wondering how you guys differentiate with Bold's IO and Telegram's Telegraph?
Osman Ahmed
Hi @mynhpark, With Telegraph, you're limited to creating single notes on separate, unmemorable URLs. Eventually the user will forget their post ever existed. IO is quite similar to Telegraph though you have an option to create an account with them and store all of your notes there. Notepin goes for a different approach as I've tried to remove all those constraints by allowing you to create a whole notebook with as many notes as you like. You can customise the URL to create a more memorable link and access it anywhere, without having to go through a Sign In form or try to remember that long URL.

Love it! But how would you deal with Pro users who forgot their password when there's no email configuration or anything of the like? (I'm totally locked out of my journal right now.)

Beautiful design and simplicity. Great job man!
