The NOTA Mole tracker app allows you to track your moles and any changes over time. It also offers updated information about the health of skin, moles and how to take care of them properly.
Hello everyone this Saturday morning :) Thanks to @kevin for his help!
I want to present on behalf of the whole Artes Electronics team our project - an app for tracking moles at home and early diagnosis of skin cancer.
Melanoma is the most dangerous skin cancer type that disguises itself as a common mole. The device can be used to identify possible skin cancer at its early stage, vastly increasing the odds of limiting the necessary treatment to surgical removal of the mole, avoiding the need of chemotherapy, and preventing metastases from spreading in your body.
The best skin cancer prevention is to regularly inspect your moles at home! NOTA mole tracker is a device & app for mapping and checking moles at home. NOTA is completely safe to use for children, seniors, and pregnant women. The bioimpedance analysis technology at the NOTA’s core is commonly used in fitness trackers and smart scales that are capable of determining your body composition (muscle, fat and bone ratio).
This technology allows NOTA mole tracker to see all types of skin cancer: melanoma, basal cell carcinoma(BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma(SCC), which are often disguised as moles and spots on the skin as well as precancerous diseases (actinic keratosis) and inflammation.
Our goal is to tell as many people as possible about skin cancer and the importance of self-examination, since early diagnosis can save lives! @rrhoover
@k_kibo this is amazing. last month i went in to have a slightly suspect mole on my face looked at....turns out it was early stage melanoma. and just last week I had three surgeries to remove + reconstruct the region on my cheek... so this app definitely hits close to home. downloading now and will give feedback after i dive in!
@ethanframe You did a great job catching melanoma at an early stage! Our aph is paired with a device that measures the impedance of skin cells and moles and compares them with each other.
