1. How long does it take for the device to pay for itself? (The question was already asked in the comments, but it was not answered)
2. How does it compare to a standard GPU setup for earning money, combined with a smart home device (like those from Apple or Amazon), in terms of functionality and cost-effectiveness?
3. Do you have established partnerships or services where the computational power can be directed?
4. Would you describe it as essentially a sleek home mining server?

Hi @chrismessina! Thanks for the awesome questions! We are finalizing the numbers, it gets a little complicated so I will keep it short.
Neuron provides users with a private and uncensored AI experience, similar to having a supercomputer at home. This level of performance and exclusivity requires significant investments in hardware, software, and infrastructure. To put this into perspective, renting equivalent resources would cost $2,000-$3,000 per month, so if you own Neuron, you will break even after 2 months.
But that's not all, Neuron allows users to monetize their device by providing compute to popular GPU networks when not in use. Users can get up to 50% APR, which is a huge return on investment. I believe Neuron is the only device that offers this kind of capability.
@chrismessina @ven_caro Why would a person rent equivalent resources at $2-3k a month if they are simply handling personal applications at home? Is that something you've ever done? What's a real world use case for this product and why isn't a local LLM model on a laptop or Mac mini sufficient if you simply want to avoid cloud resources?
I love projects with artificial intelligence. It's cool that there are more of them every time
