πŸ‘‹ Hey Product Hunt! I'm Nicolas, the creator of Nicky.codes. Why I built Nicky.codes: It all started with my passion for home exchanges. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of sharing my home with people from all over the world. But through these incredible experiences, I kept running into the same recurring problem: explaining how to use the various appliances and devices in my house, simply and clearly. At first, like most people, I created a 'home book' with written instructions : how to use the coffee machine, how to start the home cinema, and so on. But I quickly realized that these explanations often ended up being too complex or confusing. I found myself wishing I could be there in person to guide my guests, step by step, and make things easier for them. That’s where the idea for nicky.codes was born: to bridge the gap and make it effortless for anyone to understand step by step how to use or do something in a short explainer video in multiple languages with animated and engaging captions. And the best part? All these translated and captioned videos are accessible through a unique QR code, making everything quick and convenient. Just print and put your code close to your device and you're ready to go! πŸ€— How it works: 1. Take your phone and record a video, speaking aloud to explain each step clearly. 2. Choose the languages you'd like your video translated into, ensuring it can reach a broad international audience. 3. Complete the simple checkout process and receive your unique QR code via email, ready to share and use. Pricing: €2.00 per minute per language. Note: Video durations are rounded to the nearest minute. The videos are accessible at any time via the QR code, without the need to install an app. Your guests can simply scan the QR code with their phone and instantly get the video in their chosen language or by default, in the language of their phone. A video is worth a thousand words, I've received really good feedbacks from my first users, no more hassle now when it comes to explaining things simply in multiple languages! 😊

Greg HANFFOU
Thank you Nico! Very good idea I also have an appartement that I have put on Airbnb and I will definitely use it to explain not only the apartment but also the surroundings.

Cool, I'll try this out next time I'm making an explainer video, I know localized content key for the european market.
Nicolas MENOUX
@berner_setterwall Thanks Berner. Yes it is really important for european customers to get versions in their own languages, more engagement for sure. Don't hesitate to share nicky.codes ;-)

Impressive work, @NicolasMENOUX! Nicky.codes is a great leap forward for global user experience and education. The ease of sharing and understanding instructions in multiple languages is remarkable. How do you handle updates or changes to the video instructions once they're created and shared?
Nicolas MENOUX
@nicolasmenoux @renchu_song Thanks Richard for your great feedbacks ;-) As you say it is a really convenient tool for education but for so many other fields, spectrum is really large. For this first release, it is not possible for the moment to update the original message, you could just add new extra languages. But I'm currently working on a specific feature to replace the original video by another one and keep the same QR code for continuity.
