All your notes, bookmarks, inspiration, articles, and images in one single, private place, enhanced with artificial intelligence. mymind is for busy people. For those who move too fast to be bothered with folders, labels and systems.
Good morning everyone!
I just woke up to the news of seeing this on ProductHunt, quite surprised myself as this wasn't planned at all (:
Thank you for 'hunting' our product called mymind and thank you for all the lovely comments I'm reading on here already.
mymind was born out of a personal need. My co-founder and I wanted an app that serves as an extension of our minds. A tool that picks up where our minds stop working.
I'm a believer in "organized" chaos and for me, other tools never worked because they forced me to come up with a structure and organize the things I put into it. Most tools I'm excited to use in the beginning, but then eventually the excitement fades as the tool becomes too cluttered and my system of organization too complex over time.
The idea with mymind is essentially the exact opposite of what you can find in other tools. The idea is to get out of the way and complement your already existing flow.
1. You save something with one click, no need to organize or think about where it should go.
2. If you want to find it again, you just search for it, your mind does the rest.
Honestly, there are so many things I could write about, and some of it we put already on our website, so I'll keep it short:
WHAT is mymind?
https://mymind.com/what
WHY did we create mymind?
https://mymind.com/why
HOW does it work?
https://mymind.com/how
Why is privacy so important to us? OUR PROMISE:
https://mymind.com/our-promise
And of course, our manifesto, which is what guides our principles:

PS: And yes, we're a TINY team. We're bootstrapped and entirely self-funded. We are not planning on raising VC funding because we like to stay small, bootstrapped and focused on our values and members.
Our current focus is building out our native experiences (better iPhone, Android, iPad and Mac apps) as well as new core feature such as our Reading Mode.
PPS: We have a free trial, but once you hit the limit we ask you to support us by joining the Mastermind plan. We will be announcing new plans in the coming weeks to make our product more accessible (currently we only offer an annual plan, but email us for a monthly plan option).
THANK YOU!
Tobias & the mymind team
Hey @vanschneider 👋 glad you liked the surprise 😉 I saw that @thomasbergman hunted mymind but no maker was added to it. I went to Twitter and found you in no time. I love the website aesthetic, completely made by (https://www.semplice.com/).
Do you plan to add some templates so that new users have an organised roadmap to begin with?
@adityavsc Thank you for your kind words Aditya! Indeed, it was made with Semplice.com (: We love to build tools to then build our own tools, our own little universe. In regards to templates, can you elaborate on that a bit more? You mean for mymind? We're definitely having plans on improving our onboarding, but since mymind can be used in a thousand different ways, and everyone is different, we most likely won't have templates since it's not comparable to other services where that would make sense (assuming you mean templates similar to what Notion or Airtable offers).
@debadyuti_roychowdhury Hey DRC! I'm not too familiar with the Zettelkasten method but I know many who've mentioned it who are also using mymind. I assume the core feature that you're missing would be bi-directional linking between cards? In regards to PDFs and Google Docs, I'm not sure what you mean, would you mind to elaborate?
I've been using this product for quite a while now and it has finally giving me peace of mind knowing that all the things I'd like to remember, will actually stay there, and just for me. No social no nothing. It's great and I hope it stays around for a very long time. Tobias and his team are nailing it.
@jonnotie Ahh thank you so much Jonno! Long time supporter, and you know how much I appreciate you for it! Apprecaite all the feedback you've given over the last couple months as well, the product is improving because of it! THANK YOU!
@berthakgokong Thank you Bertha! We hope to do it in a way that is beneficial for you to use and hope to be around a lot longer than the current trend of AI powered tools.
I am using MyMind since the early beta. You will need to get some time to get used to. Once you figure out how to use, search and navigate your mind it is an amazing tool. I can highly recommend it. Furthermore, the customer service is just amazing. They listen to you, help with any problem. Each interaction is meaningful and personal.
@niklausgerber Thank you so much Niklaus! You've been with us through some up and downs and I want to let you know that both the team and myself really appreciate all your feedback, your support and continued belief in what we're doing. We're seeing some great improvements and I can't wait to share with you all the things we've been working on. Just getting started! And glad to have you <3
@vanschneider and co. have built an incredible product. I've been using mymind for over a year and it is the best way to collect information and inspiration and not stress about how it is organized. Their attention to detail and care for the features is superb.
@jdsimcoe Thank you so much Jonathan! I know you've been through ups and downs with us and it means a lot to us. You've helped us shape the product and it's been becoming better because of it. Looking forward to show you all things we have in store for the coming months, I think you will enjoy it! THANK YOU for supporting us! From me and the team!
This is the end of all other note taking apps for personal use. Not only does it automatically sort and label things so you can search for them (the way your mind works), but it is also a joy to use. What a delightful little app. I will most likely subscribe to the product after my trial. Well done ?makers.
@filmique Ahh this makes me happy Yalin! Thank you for the lovely words! Please do write us via Twitter or via email if you have any feedback, questions or concerns. We'd love to make it easier for you and always appreciate your feedback! Thank you for considering the upgrade too, it would mean a lot and helps us to continue building mymind!
@almost_designer Thank you so much Harshit! Love that you're mentioning MM-2 and makes me happy that you're following and reading closely. So much to come! Looking forward to share it all with you!
@tanyasharma Thank you Tanya! This seems like it might be the perfect tool for you! Curious to hear once you tried it out, and feel free to write us on Twitter if you have questions @mymind
Just tried it. It is really amazing, I really wanted this, but did not know how to express it ;) Great job.
I am manually tagging, but it is so fast that it is ok.
@ivan_fanego That makes me happy to hear! Yes we have a lot of shortcuts in place as well to make manual tagging as easy as it could be. Give your new mind some time, it will grow on you and you will slowly discover more and more use cases.
@ivan_fanego Hey Ivan! Sadly no PayPal right now, but that's mainly because we haven't gotten to it yet and because PayPal doesn't seem to support subscriptions, unless you have a CreditCard attached to it. So it requires a bit of work on our side to build the flow to support pre-paid accounts, which then should make it easier to support PayPal as well. Definitely on our list, and actually quite high up! Does CreditCard work for you in the meantime?
@vanschneider It could work, I have some PayPal credit and prefer to pay with it whenever I can. My idea is to go for the year plan, I don't think is monthly tool, the use case is for the long term I think.
(BTW, Setapp is a subscription based product and they have PayPal, no idea how they implemented that, just saying in case that info may help you)
Cheers,
@ryanfitz412 Hey Ryan, I think I replied on Twitter already but here as well just for the record. You're in the free trial (up to 100 saved cards) and we only ask for choosing a payment plan after.
I've been using this for close to a year and nothing comes close. I tried using Raindrop (which is still awesome), but mymind is just so easy and visually amazing to use. I love the color palettes it generates from images and how quick it is to search.
I’ve been following your progress across Twitter, super stoked to see you finally launching! The idea of not having folders or labels makes me a little nervous to use this, but aesthetic alone makes me feel like I have to. Congrats on the launch!
@iamkunkel Thank you so much Alec! Means a lot and makes me happy to hear that you've been following the process. It's definitely something new, and there's a bit of a re-wiring process happening when using mymind. I think we have to do a lot more work on writing, creating videos etc. on explaining how we use mymind and how to make it easier to change from what we like to call the "old school system" of folders. Looking forward to it!
I've been using My Mind for a little while now, and I really love it! The browser extension is perfect for capturing what I want to remember, and the AI does most of the work of tagging for me. Plus, the UI/UX is way ahead and most competitors I've tried.
@iambrakes Thank you so much Brett! This means a LOT and motivates us to keep improving and making it even better. I can promise, a lot more to come in the future!
Such a beautiful and clear product. The only thing is when using some platforms for hosting data sometimes we are afraid what will happen with all this materials if the platform stops working. But I hope that nothing bad happens with your product, guys. Since you've created a really beautiful thing
Been using it from the very beginning, currently on the Mastermind plan. Highly recommended product, keeps getting better and the support is awesome 👍 Great job @vanschneider!
@george_mk You're the best Georgios! Thank you for making it possible that we can build mymind, your support means everything, thank you from me and the entire team! Can't wait to show you all the new things we've been working on!
I’ve been using mymind for about a year now and I absolutely love this application. It’s the most visually pleasing app in my “capture toolkit” (a la Second Brain, ifkyk). As a visual organizer it’s so helpful to be able to scroll through my notes and collections of screenshots etc. It’s given me a new way to “look at” note taking and info capture.
The feature additions over the last few months have been spot on. I’m looking forward to what’s to come! Congrats on the launch!
@rickrollins20 Thank you so much for your support Rick, you're the reason we're able to keep mymind growing and building. Whenever you have feedback, please always feel free to write us, feedback from our members is very important to us. And we have a ton more coming in the next couple weeks and months. Excited to show you!
THIS. IS. WHAT. I'VE. BEEN. LOOKING. FOR!!!! Something that just whisks away my thoughts and keeps them ready for when I need them. I don't want to organise anything. Great looking product.
