Does your family bug you to make sites for them? Muse is here to rescue you. Inspired by Bento & Gumroad, you can use AI and simple building blocks to make full-fledged websites & sell products in minutes. So easy, even Grandma can do it!
Hey all! 👋🏻
Dan Sutera here, Co-Founder of Muse. After years of hard work, we are thrilled to introduce our platform to the PH community and can't wait to hear your thoughts.
For years, I've been the defacto IT support guy for my family. They try to build websites on places like Wix & Squarespace and start with great templates, but pretty soon get stuck and call me to login & rebuild for them. These tools are easy for people like us, but still WAY too complicated for beginners. That was my inspiration for Muse.
We reimagined how pages could be built from the ground up. And over the last 3 years have taken inspiration from other great products that have launched like Bento & Carrd. Those tools let you build a simple Link in Bio or personal page, but with Muse you can do MUCH more-- full-fledged websites & e-Commerce.
We are quite proud of the end result-- a site builder & eCom platform so easy, even Grandma can use. We hope that you'll enjoy!
@dansutera Relieved to finally have the opportunity for an online art portfolio which isn’t utterly reliant on one’s social-media accounts, especially as those seem to become less user-oriented and ever-more opaque. That being said, it makes a huge difference that Muse does provide easy options to add links to those accounts! ;) As well, Muse’s free option is a great place to begin for those of us who haven’t updated their websites since Apple discontinued iWeb.
One question: how does Muse optimize one’s site in search engines and within certain apps?
Cheers and thank you!
Hey, Alex here!
In recent months we've spent a lot of time trying to improve the product. Since we know how hard it is for any creator to sell their content, this platform simplifies the process by allowing you to create a website in seconds, as well as have a portfolio of your services and products in just seconds. I think every creator can benefit from Muse.
We're eagerly awaiting your feedback on the product.
Being the de facto IT support guy becomes a headache if it extends beyond the family such as to relatives, friends and neighbors.
Promoting grandma like that will probably make grandpa anxious, so be careful😅
Good job, Dan and Team Muse!
Congrats on the launch!
What a well executed product! Great use of the AI. I always like to get a quick hands on demo of the product and Muse delivered that through the playground. Good work!
Transaction fees might be a bit higher for the free plan, but serious creators would consider getting Premium with custom domain so I understand that.
I'll definitely keep this product in mind and will tell others about it if they are looking to create a shop online.
Cheers!
@ash_grover Hey Ash, good point, we prob should have mentioned the playground a little more prominently, it's fun:
https://muse.io/playground
(We used to have that be the main starter exprience but it hurt conversions a little). Thanks for the support!
I remember supporting a crowdfunded project to do exactly this 5 yrs ago or so. They flopped. We're living in new times now, and it's so cool to see that it is actually possible, and that you have done it! Congrats on the launch and best of luck moving forward. Now I know where to go when I want to turn ideas to income fast.
Just visited the site and I like the product, but some lag happened while scrolling the site. I don't why, is it only for me or not. But I luv the product. All the best.
@ilya_korzun hey thanks! Yes you can auto connect domains with muse premium ($6/mo). (We use a 3rd party tool called entri to do this) You can also buy new domains cheap and connect via muse
Shopify dev for over 6 years and I feel you haha have been the defacto "build me a site" guy for my friends and family only to see them never use the sites I build for them just because they have no idea what to do and I simply don't have the time to be a full time manager of their site for them, will be sending them over to muse.io from now on haha
Muse is a breath of fresh air in the site-building space—perfect for anyone who finds other builders too complex. It reminds me of tools like Bento & Carrd, but with the added flexibility for full websites and e-commerce. I love the idea that even a beginner (or Grandma!) can launch a polished site. Excited to see how it evolves!
@kui_jason Hey Jason, yes I love both of those product. I feel like Bento prob would have gotten to full web pages if they hadn't gotten acquired. And Carrd is awesome too-- just doesn't have subpages yet. But we've def been inspired by these guys and their product work. In some ways an homage.
Wonderful product! I just tried the free tier and I'm just blown away. I've used cardd before so I had something to compare to. This is miles better and has a lot more to offer. Congratulations on the launch and I wish you guys the best.
I've used this in beta and my girlfriend used it to set up a simple way to book her aerial acts. She's the most non technical human being alive haha. Amazing game changing product for a huge swath of folks!
We just have to say, Muse is just the best. The team, their expertise, the community support attitude and commitment, their knowledge base and access to what you need when you need it, and their overall willingness to help are, quite honestly, unique and dependable. The platform is flexible and easy to work with and they are upgrading and constantly improving to meet user and customer needs as they evolve. Well done guys, thank you so much!
Dan, what a great product! Thank you for bringing another incredibly useful product to the world. This is really going to make it incredibly easy for just about anyone to participate in something that was once left to the technically gifted and educated. Really awesome to see another great product from you. Looking forward to using this and showing it to my family and friends. Joe
@aude_gleef Hey Aude, thanks! We have an AI page builder so you can use that to write in diff languages, but no we don't have a toggle between languages. Will add to roadmap! :)
