I’m Ken, the founder of Moon. I’m excited to share the brand-new Moon with you.
Moon is a browser extension that lets you pay with cryptocurrency everywhere Visa® is accepted online in the US.
With Moon, you can purchase single-use virtual cards with crypto from your Coinbase account or with a lightning network wallet (like BlueWallet). You can then use that card at virtually any ecommerce site that accepts Visa.
Our goal at Moon is to make crypto a currency, but we don’t want to abandon some core tenets of crypto to get there, like privacy and security.
To that end, we opted to go with single-use prepaid cards. They work like regular debit/credit cards online, but they keep your financial info safe (no risk to your crypto if a merchant has a data leak or an unauthorized person accesses your card details).
Also, Moon doesn’t custody crypto on behalf of users. Rather, when you purchase a Moon Visa® Prepaid Card with crypto, the crypto is immediately converted to USD. And there are no fees!
To start, we’ve launched Moon as a browser extension, but we’re planning a web app and mobile app in the near future.

Mooon Pay wanted to charge me a 33% service fee to buy Ethereum for my Meta Mask Wallet deposit.
Moon Pay does NOT answer their phone and direct users to as service email address that is fake and does NOT work.
Moon Pay is a scam that I fully advise avoiding if you value your money.
