Hi Product Hunt! Today we're → introducing moimoi.app ← An app that allows you to capture and showcase every aspect of your life. From social identities to personal milestones, each card is a tailored expression of your unique journey. Here's a lil guide for how to use the app. You can tap on the bottom center "plus" tab icon to create a card! We have two main categories of cards, utility and social. - For utility, there are Notes (like the card you're reading right now), Photos and Meet n Greet cards. - For social, we have Twitter/X, GitHub and YouTube (with more on the way!) cards. ## Utility Cards Utilities are built for practical and interactive purposes whether it be jotting down some notes, sharing some quick photos or meeting friends IRL. We made these cards for you to capture moments in life, to relive and celebrate memories. - Notes: You can use Notes to jot down some thoughts quickly, write journals, or a long chunk of text to be shared as an image. Notes card supports basic rich text such as bold, italic and headings. - Photos: You can use Photos to collect a handful of photos of a precious moment, a trip together somewhere or just simply some related images. We let you share them in beautifully crafted collage layouts, truly great for any use. - Meet n Greet: Ever got together IRL with someone you've met only online? Or just meet your friends in a casual setting? Create a Meet n Greet with your friends to save that moment! ## Social Cards Social cards are pretty straightforward, they're a version of you in the form of a social media account. You can choose one and type in your handle (usually the username that's after the "at/@" sign) and search for your account to display. We're working on adding more support for other platforms, if you're really interested in voting one, feel free to send us feedback through Settings > Feedback.

@cali_castle Well done on the launch! Wishing you continued success and growth. How did you come up with the idea?
Cali Castle
@kjosephabraham Thanks Joseph! We originally were inspired by Apple's Name Card feature on iOS 17, and we wanted to build a true personal card that's more feature rich!
Amika Hunter
@cali_castle When will you make android version?
Cali Castle
@amika_hunter Later this year ;)

Your application has a very beautiful design.
Stefans Keiss
This looks really interesting! Can you give more details on the privacy settings for the cards?
Cali Castle
@memphys_sk Thank you Stefans! We haven't yet opened up sharing to the web, but when we do, we will allow you to fine-tune whether or not you want to share certain cards.

The design of the product has attracted me and motivated me to download and experience it. I have used many habit tracking or important event countdown products before, most of which excel in product design quality. Moimoi gives me a similar feeling, but overall, it seems like a product designed for social showcasing, possibly for celebrating important milestones. Additionally, you have features like Notes, but I'm not sure if the scenario is strong enough.
Cali Castle
@cestivan Hi Ivan, thank you for the quality feedback! We understand that it might be social-heavy given the current state of the app, but we do plan on adding a lot more than just that! This is simply our first step towards making more utility cards (maybe features like Calendar booking etc.) and other features (e.g. sharing public on web). We all gotta start somewhere ;)

I love the idea of creating personalized cards to capture different aspects of life. It looks like a great way to showcase your unique journey. I'm particularly interested in the social cards for Twitter and GitHub. Are there any plans to integrate with other social media platforms in the future? Looking forward to seeing how moimoi.app evolves!
Cali Castle
@tmwky Thank you Tanvir! We're planning to add more support for other platforms like Instagram, TikTok and more, let us know which ones are your favs!
Bon
Congratulations on your launch, team moimoi! So cute! Are there any plans to support Android in the future?
Cali Castle
@bonvisions Thank you Bon! Later this year we'll start development on Android!
Anastasiia Stepko
It looks really cute, the name is cute, and the logo is, but I really didn't understand how to use it, or what value it will provide me.
Cali Castle
@anastasiia_stepko Hi Anastasiia, it seems our onboarding process may not have been as clear as intended, or perhaps the limited card options available do not fully meet our initial expectations. Nevertheless, we are committed to enhancing moimoi to better reflect your individuality. Currently, the app serves as a platform for self-presentation, akin to a bento alternative. Rest assured, we are dedicated to expanding its features in the near future. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Cali Castle
@_baoha thank you for such a high praise 🥹
Julia Bramer
Love the branding! To me however, the value prop is not super clear. What can you eventually do with the cards?
Kyrylo Silin
Hi Cali, moimoi offers a unique way to capture and showcase personal moments. Questions: - How do users create and customize their cards, and what kinds of social integrations are planned for the future? - How do utility cards like Notes and Photos enhance the user experience? Thanks, and congrats on the launch!
Cali Castle
@kyrylosilin Thank you Kyrylo for the support! To answer your question: - Once installed, simply tap on "create" in the tab bar to create a card and you'll be greeted with a range of card selections and then if you select GitHub for example, we currently have two styles to choose from (followers count and stars count). This is how cards get created! We plan to add all the major social platforms in later. And as far as integrations go, we're not positioning ourselves as a tool to replace those, it's more about a better way that collects them all and share in a cool looking layout kind of thing. - Utility cards work just as you'd expect, a Note card works like a rich text editor and you get to write down quick notes, or a long post you want to tweet out or just simply writing a journal. And for Photos it helps you group photos by a topic/interest you get to name with. Hope this helps explain a few things!
Vasily Kolosov
Congratulations on launching! How does moimoi ensure the privacy and security of the information shared on these cards, and are there any plans to integrate additional social platforms or utility features in the future?
Cali Castle
@vasily_kolosov1 Thank you Vasily! We're planning to add support for Instagram, TikTok and more social platforms. With other features like publishing via web are on our roadmap too!
NJ Robb
Congrats on the launch @cali_castle & @ethan_liu3 you have made a lovely designed app. I like the simplicity, the interactions are cool too. I think the concept is great, I have downloaded it. I have a few things I think would be cool to add/consider. 1. An import feature for things, I have 100's of notes, screenshots etc. 2. I can imagine this being useful for teams, sharing a lot of key info, perhaps sales data or other KPI's, but I dont think NousNous has the same ring to it. Adding teams could also be a good way to monetise it. 3. What other things will I be able to integrate in the future?
Cali Castle
@njrobb Thank you NJ! RE: An import feature. Oh that would actually help a ton by importing existing notes and stuff, we'll consider it! RE: Adding teams. Haha NousNous would be a funny name, but yes, I do think having team sync features like that would be a great way to monetize for sure! Thank you for the suggestion ❤️ RE: Other things to integrate? We are planning on features like sharing publicly via web, more social cards, mood diary, and more, also gathering community feedback to help us make better product decisions! If you have any request feel free to let us know!

This is a beautiful product and pretty unique idea to track your stats visually. Honestly, I was looking at the website at first, and I didn't fully understand what the cards do since they didn't include the # of followers like the mockups on PH. I think since this is a pretty novel idea, it'd be super helpful to put a demo video up on the website. I'm also curious how does the meet and greet feature work - does it work similarly to wechat's Find People Nearby? I think it could be a cool networking tool. Congrats on launching though @cali_castle!
