Congrats on building this, @sharon_savariego! What would you say is the most important lesson that community managers need to know...and how does Mobilize support that?
Sharon Savariego
1/4 @eytanbuchman great question! I think the most important thing that we see the community managers truly obsess about is how to create more value for their members - how to give them more opportunities to network, to meet each other, to have meaningful discussions and more.
Sharon Savariego
2/4 When we designed "The Lounge" (Our latest release of Mobilize2.0 https://www.producthunt.com/post...) was the first step to truly support this by giving the members a discussion feed that combines threaded conversation (easy to find and browse) and live-chat (more engaging), a rich member directory to help them find each other and network, and resource center to make sure you share content and events with your members.
Sharon Savariego
3/4 Then because we believe that it's super important to allow members to engage from wherever they are - we launched the Mobile apps to make sure people reply to one another and stay connected with or without login in - from email, web or now both Mobile apps.
Sharon Savariego
4/4 Lastly - we know from our own users how important is it for them to be available to their members, reply quickly and always be there for them - so we believe the Mobile app makes it now super easy for them to keep up with their community easily, to moderate conversation no matter where they are.

.@sharon_savariego on the community success with the @mobilize_io android launch: "Community managers truly obsess about how to create more value for their members". Love it!

Is this not Slack with a directory to other teams? (Which is a good thing) Or rather Facebook Groups.
Sharon Savariego
@androidlove Hi Carlos! Kinda.. ;) We built Mobilize so that large groups and communities will have an easier way to engage on the go. You can think about it as your group discussion app (similar to FB groups) with a member directory and rich profiles so members can get to know each other and network, private chats (like Slack), mailing list and more - all in one place! So whether you have a customer/user community or a professional network - it's easier to organize and communicate with everyone. Let us know what you think after you check this out and which communities are you managing - we would love to help!

I'm a huge fan of mobilize, It has been very valuable for our NGO efforts and it gives us the ability to organize and communicate with both members and fans alike. We're in the process of building our virtual community and transferring our existing one to Mobilize and it has been really great! Good luck, team!

Hey Mobilize team, that's amazing! Really looking forward to trying this out! Are all of Mobilize's features available in the app too? I especially need access to Files and Analytics 🙃
Sharon Savariego
@dani_amitay Thank you Dani! Happy to hear you like it. The new Android app has most of the basic features - chat, member directory, posts and comments, groups and more! Coming soon are events and files too, stay tuned and tell us what you think about the app so far - share any feedback or feature request you have - we're always improving and releasing new versions!
