Digital sticky notes. Well actually, this feature from Miro digitizes handwritten sticky notes. Pretty cool. Try it out!

Thanks, @hnshah! We're so excited to publicly introduce Stickies Capture - our magical feature that instantly transforms the results of any offline workshop, retro, brainstorm, and other team meetings into digital. Stickies Capture + Miro collaborative whiteboard => 📲Digitize and edit handwritten sticky notes (all devices); 🏃‍♂️Invite your team to keep collaboration going (all devices); 🗃Move from idea to implementation by adding more files, diagrams and comments next to your stickies (all devices); 💫Convert stickies into Jira tasks or spreadsheets (desktop); 🙋🏻‍♀️Timebox activities and vote on sticky notes (desktop); 🎤Turn brainstorm into a presentation (desktop). It's FREE and works on iOS, or Android apps, and in desktop browser! Try it now, and don't worry if you don't have a picture with stickies in your clipboard - there's a demo photo that you can test right away.

Me and my team love Miro, but when we brainstorm or run a workshop we use physical stickies and it is a big pain to move all the results to Miro board. And now it becomes so easy and fast, amazing feature!

As a fan of physical post-its when possible, this is such a handy feature. Plus, recognition rates are good enough that I only have to edit very few typos (more a result of chicken scratch-like handwriting).
Anna Boyarkina
Thanks @karen_naranjo! And special thanks from data scientist that trained the neural network to recognise everything!

Blending the physical and digital worlds more and more, well done🤘🏻
Anna Boyarkina
Thanks, @farbodsaraf. Will do our best!

This product is a game changer for researchers who use affinity mapping. Also for teams with remote collaborators. We have even utilized Miro during research sessions for brain mapping and instead of creating a prototype. This tool is amazing! For the screen capture my concerns are that it can be tedious when you have lots of notes to import. The writing to text, if it is long can miss content and when the image is placed on the Miro board it is huge! Very much out of proportion with other things. Otherwise there is nothing else like it, I'm finally not tied down to one physical location for weeks!
Anna Boyarkina
Thanks @briet_tornes1 ! Happy to help you overcome the challenges of remote collaboration!

I tested this out with some stickies left over in a conference room. It captured and translated some 20 stickies and accurately changed the text (a lot of which was messy cursive). I was honestly really surprised how well it worked!! Great job Miro team :)
Robin McKenzie
I'm impressed with the accuracy of the OCR, and it works best when using a photo of multiple stickies. I previously posted about it not being quick, but that was when doing individual stickies - I retract my previous complaint.
Anna Boyarkina
Keep challenging it @robin_mckenzie and feel free to share your feedback any time!

I used Post-it to do the same thing, now it's included in my favorite board app! hooray! Excellent job. Unlike post-it which only recognize their own product, it recognize all square object in the picture which is even better.

Thanks @yellingbytes for choosing us!

Thanks @peterdfleming for your support!
Danny Greer
Miro has become a major part of my personal tech stack (mostly for brainstorming and organizing ideas). It blows away other digital whiteboard apps. This looks like a great addition to the app. Glad to see even more features. :)
Anna Boyarkina
@dannygreer Danny! Thanks for being with us - for sure there's always more to come ;-)
Mike Ulitin
Now it is really easy for me to convert paper stickers to online whiteboard! Thanks!
Anna Boyarkina
@new_user_57e0dc93ff Thanks, Mike! Your support means a lot to us.

It is a real game-changer! No more posting photos of whiteboards after meetings.

Neat feature, even recognises my handwriting ˆˆ
John David Hunt
I love Miro, it is our space for all sorts of explaining and doing a 'digital whiteboard'. I have used the 'Stickies Capture' in live meetings and my boss was really impressed with my resourcefulness and the tool. It's a real good tool, and people are pretty quick to grasp how to do stuff in it. We have also used it for large sessions of users, where tracking hundreds of stickies (the paper kind) would have been a great challenge.
Anna Boyarkina
Thanks, @john_david_hunt ! It's great we could solve your challenges!

I think I was a part of a test where the stickies capture already had OCR. I loved it, and way prefer that to having my big ass sharpie notes on my board - mixing the analogue with the digital doesn't make me happy! Secondly, when the doesn't detect the stickies, and you have to make a custom shape, that can be helpful, but it's very annoying when you change the shape once, and then this is the outline for the remainder of the stickies, even if the remainder are regular size. I can see it being helpful if you're using various shapes, but generally it just applies to one or two of the whole board.
Anna Boyarkina
Hi, @phil_sampson1! Thanks for your feedback - good to heal you liked v1.0. And you can still use it: just untoggle "Convert to text" while editing the selection of stickies.
Dima Kuchev
Yeah, ROKKKKKKK!!!
Anna Boyarkina
Thank you @ikuchev !
He Kurashivi
I use physical sticky notes for brainstorming with my students. We had to rewrite the results into Miro each time, which was so painful! I'm so happy that I can do it in several seconds for now, thank you guys!
Anna Boyarkina
@kurashivi No more rewriting 🚀. Thank you for support.
Tomas Junger
excellent
Anna Boyarkina
@tomas_junger thanks, Tomas!
